    An amazing night ....

by Anonymous on 2011-07-31The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

Absolutely amazing, there's nothing like Jeff Martin when he's with the Tea Party! I'd give this concert 100 stars if I could! So good to have the Tea Party home and back together in Windsor.

    Cliche' at it's best!!

by gregger on 2011-07-27Ceasars - Windsor

Saw these guys 'cause I had to when they opened for a real act. Never knew what all the hype was about??? Take Zeppelin, mix in Morrison's Vox with some middle Eastern trickery and Vwwaalla.....You have "The Master Appropriator" at his best. Although this does appeal to some, I'd prefer just to listen to Zeppelin and be done with it! These guys were signed in the nineties when the industry was actually still starving to sign bands and take their chances. They got lucky!! Morerockthanroll. I'll save the 100 bucks, stay in and crank Zeppelin III...... keep the milk money!!

    The boys are back!

by Wednesdaygirl on 2011-07-25Sound Academy - Toronto

I haven't missed a Tea Party concert or Jeff Martin solo concert since 2000, and it was really a treat to see them back together. They have the same cool, mystical vibe and unwavering energy as always. The band was in top form and Jeff Martin was very gracious and engaging with his band mates and with the crowd. I hope they stay together and continue making great music and touring - I will definitely be there in the crowd.

    Amazing!

    by Angelos170 on 2011-07-24Sound Academy - Toronto

After years apart the Tea Party is back at it and are completely amazing still!! The only downside is that I swear Sound Academy turns off their A/C halfway through the night making the venue unbearably hot. I'd give the bands 5 stars and the venue 1 star thus the 4 star rating.

    The Tea Party Sizzles

by TheSSman on 2011-07-23Sound Academy - Toronto

Extremely hot night, great show, Jeff Martin is a great showman and considering the sweltering heat, the band did a great job...

    Good & loud

by Camarose on 2011-07-23Sound Academy - Toronto

Tea Party sounds so good and loud when they perform live. It was so good to hear thier music again, kinda nostalgic, seen them many times in the past. Kinda sad that they did not do The River. I wanna do it all over again! If they keep touring I will keep going to see them. A Great Band to see live in concert! So loud!

It will never cease to amaze me the amount of chemistry Jeff Martin has with any audience. I've seen him solo, then with 777 and now with The Tea Party, he loves what he does and it always shows. He doesn't go on tour for himself but for the fans. Always high energy, cracking jokes, playing the best tunes, he just doesn't stop. I will always continue to see him no matter who he is playing with or how many times I will have seen him. He is amazing.

Great to see The Tea Party back together.

by niris on 2011-07-23Sound Academy - Toronto

The Tea Party has always been my favourite band. I thought I'd never have the pleasure of seeing them live again, so this concert was a fantastic treat. I saw Jeff Martin with his 777 band earlier this year; Jeff was amazing at that concert but something was missing. This concert brought back the songs and sounds Jeff's voice was meant for.

    They're Baaa-aaack!

    by AuroraD84 on 2011-07-23Sound Academy - Toronto

The Tea Party has returned! Despite a HOT summers night in Toronto's Sound Academy, they pulled off an AMAZING show. The crowd was electrified, waiting, so when they finally appeared on stage, it all broke loose! Jeff, Stuart, and Jeff kept us in rapture all night long with favourites like The Bazaar, The Messenger, Fire in the Head, and Heaven Coming Down. There was some dialogue between the crowd and the band, and within the band, but you could tell TTP were here to rock - and rock they did!

    Tea Party is Back

by Anonymous on 2011-07-23Sound Academy - Toronto

Life began once again with the rebirth of the Tea Party. Long missed and Thursday night life began 1 more time. Jeff Martin finally warms up with crowd and Jeff Burrows still drums the world apart (the best) drummer on the planet in my opinoin.

a very hot Tea Party reunion...

    by CJ71 on 2011-07-23Sound Academy - Toronto

If it wasn't for the heat (and lack of air conditioning) and if it wasn't for Jeff Martin's voice giving out 3/4s of the way through the show (again, due to the heat and lack of air conditioning at Sound Academy) it would have been a show beyond words. However, with the oppressive heat and the band resorting to having the audience sing the choruses (including the powerful ending to Save Me - as their encore), the show was good...not their greatest (this is the 4th time I've seen them)...my hunch is that they would have played longer if it wasn't the hottest day on record in Toronto. They played their hits (Save Me, Winter Solstice, Writings on the Wall, Temptation, Release, Psychopomp, Heaven Coming Down) and a couple of band (not audience) favourites (Zahira, Correspondences), as well as covers of Daniel Lanois' The Messenger and Jeff Buckley's Last Goodbye. All in all, a satisfying show.

    The Tea Party is back!!!

by OolongOne on 2011-07-16Métropolis - Montreal

Great collection of songs that bring back lots of good memories from the 90s, but the show was much better than just that! Jeff Martin has a bit of the charm/charisma/swag/mannerisms of Robert Plant, and a good amount of similarity with Jimmy Page's guitar style and Jim Morrison's voice. A true talent with a huge range of sounds. It's rare to see a show where every song souds so different (and yet still all very Tea Party). They have not tried to become a radio band, although after the success of "heaven coming down", they could have chosen to. Instead, their music is less pop-ey and more interesting and diverse. And Jeff has enough of a presence to lead the band in really putting on a show. It's great to hear the Tea Part is back and here to stay. Tell Sarah Palin to find another name for her backwards party, or just cease to exist, cuz the name's already taken by an kick-ass Canadian band. And I can't have people thinking I like the U.S. political movement of the same name. I hope the Tea Part comes back to Montreal to rock out soon!

    Mesmerizing !!

    by Tazzy8 on 2011-07-11Métropolis - Montreal

What an amazing, mesmerizing concert ! I have seen The Tea Party only once before when they opened up for Page and Plant in 1991. I already was familiar with their music. Jeff Martin draws you into him by his incredible voice - with all those people - it is as if he is singing to you alone. By far - one of the most incredible concerts I have been seen. I will definately NOT miss a future show !!

    party with Tea Party

by IceScream on 2011-07-11Métropolis - Montreal

After years of waiting while the group was disbanded, Tea Party gave one hell of a show. Everything you want in a live show, with many of the songs having longer solos, ontros, endings...etc. The band was completely tight and signing was bang on. Finally a band that gives you your moneys worth with a near 2 hour show! Good news as they announced several times during the show that the Tea Party was back for a long time to come!

    Simply Amazing

by Ibanez on 2011-07-10Métropolis - Montreal

After so long, I did not have too much expectation. Just happy to get a chance to see them. What an amazing evening it turned out to be. Very good sound, good energy, terrific setlist. They have not lost anything. Hopefully when he said that they were back for good, he meant it.
