About

Vocalist Roger Daltrey, guitarist Pete Townshend and bassist John Entwistle formed The Who in London in 1964, welcoming Keith Moon on drums later that year. From the band’s inception and the release of their debut single “I Can’t Explain,” The Who were on the vanguard of music, art, and culture, maintaining a reputation for onstage theatrics and high-concept performances. Their seminal 1969 release, Tommy, pioneered the concept of a rock opera, and the 1971 follow-up, Who’s Next, further cemented the band in the annals of music history, featuring iconic tracks like “Baba O’Riley” and “Won’t Get Fooled Again.” The Who were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and have achieved multi-platinum status with over 43 million albums sold worldwide. Daltrey and Townshend have continued as The Who in live settings and new releases alike, most recently with the release of 2019’s Who and the acclaimed Who Hits Back! orchestral tour, which wrapped in 2023. In 2025, The Who will embark on their final tour throughout the U.S., titled The Song is Over.

I went and saw them in Tampa for the first time ever. I enjoyed the show so much that later on in the tour I flew over to Toronto to see them again for my buddies birthday. They will never be replaced and thank you gentlemen for the awesome memories. Much love and respect my brothers. God Bless.

The Who performed a fabulous concent. Absolutely great. I was a little disappointed that when paying for front row seats we were not given any perks.

  • A very good concert.

by Dennis on 2022-10-09Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

It had been 49 years since I've seen The Who. I'd say I was overdue. Peter & Roger were exceptional and haven't seemed to lose any of their talent. The supporting musicians were also great. I also wanted to especially see Zak Starkey, as I've seen John's son Julian, and George's son Dhani in concert previously. On my 5-hour drive back home after the concert, I played The Who's Greatest Hits, and it's surprising how many from that double CD they had played live. Opening acts are often a 'throwaway' but I really enjoyed seeing and hearing Stephen Page with his trio. Makes me want to go out and buy some of their new music.

  • Stellar Performance

by DB Toronto on 2022-10-08Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing production and song list, Roger's voice defied his age by decades. Pete was as personable and engaging with the audience as usual. The orchestration offered such a full and studio-like sound the whole evening. What an incredible event!

  • THE WHO HITS BACK TOUR

by CB on 2022-10-07Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely awesome concert. The Who was accompanied by orchestra members that made the concert sensational. They ROCKED! My only disappointment is that they did not play hits from the 60's. Would have liked to hear hits from the My Generation album.

The Who put on a fabulous show!! They played so many of their greatest hits. The only thing they could do better was to play longer.
