AMAZING AS ALWAYS!! Chris Carrabba for life!!

by Sarahrocksxo on 2015-06-18TD Echo Beach - Toronto

I always know its going to be a good show when it comes to Chris Carrabba but hearing the oldies & covers from dashboard on stage along with playing some of his songs from his other band Twin Forks was incredible! The VIP accounstic & Q&A with picture taking was what put it over the top Chris is as humble as they come & has stolen my heart since day one. He even remembered me from the last time we met!!! Every time I come in contact with this man he is incredibly sweet, humble, appreciative & excited. He generally cares about people - this is the type of artist I will support until the end of time!

    Good band lousy venue

by Darkhamr on 2013-07-24Casino Rama - Rama

Third Eye Blind put on a decent show, but it was rather short. I was happy with their performance however, as my first time to Rama it was a disappointment. I had second row so I was quite excited as I heard it was a small intimate venue, but I never really felt a part of the show. The problem for me though is that it is a concrete box with drapes along the walls. I felt as though I was in a very large high school gymnasium. The stackable floor seats and outfield bleachers felt cold. Add to that no general admission floors and everyone was glued to their seats like they were watching a children's play. For the encore people tried to rush down to the stage, but security put a stop to that real quick. I enjoyed it but, It should have been so much more.

Third Eye Blind were excellent, not having seen them in years we were pleasantly surprised to find that they had improved with time. The band sounded excellent and we now eagerly await their new album!

    Good concert, but too short!

by Giano on 2013-07-23Casino Rama - Rama

Thirdeyeblind put on a great show however the show was only an hour long. Many classic song were not played. Overall a good time was had by all but for the time it took to get there and the price I would have expected a much longer show.

    3rd eye blind a little Flat !

    by U2FANOMANIA on 2013-07-23Casino Rama - Rama

I was really looking forward to seeing third eye blind- this would've been my third time seeing them over the years. The first time being in 1997 when they opened for U2. We made the long trip to Rama to see what the fuss was all about. All I can say is what a weird crowd and atmosphere at the concert. Everything from hillbillies to rich uninterested Asian man with comp tickets at the front row just didn't feel like a concert and to make matters worst 3rd eye only played for just over an hour. I've been waiting for 10 years for them to play the song (in the background) and once again they didn't play it !!! I can't stand bands that retire songs or put songs to sleep and forget about the fans that come see them and don't perform their biggest hits so I will not be seeing third eye blind ever again!

    Third Eye Blind was ehhhhhhh...

by nohood on 2011-05-15Sound Academy - Toronto

I am so sad to say this, but Third Eye Blind was pretty mediocre at the Sound Academy in Toronto. They had all the energy and enthusiasm, and played all their best hits (not my personal favourites though, Danger and My Hit and Run, sigh), but the skill level was poor, and I think it might be Stephan Jenkins fault. He mumbled out lyrics, he started singing at the wrong parts, he left out full sections of songs (see Semi-Charmed Life on YouTube if you can find it!). I felt like the band was just trying to keep up with his curve-balls. Also, the audience was kind of terrible - mostly just the one million drunk college kids being rude. On the upside, the sound and tone of the performance was great, and when Jenkins actually knew the words to his own songs, his voice was wonderful. Everyone really seemed to be into the performance, they didn't play too many new songs (they had the sense to know people were coming to see them for the hits) and it was a trip down nostalgia lane. I would still go see them again!

3EB amazing, midway state not so much..

by Previs on 2011-05-13Sound Academy - Toronto

Third Eye Blind is one of those bands you loved from the 90's, and if youve never seen a band you know every song to this would be one of them. I kind of just wished they played their self titled album circa 1996 in its entirety. no such thing was done but every song was well known and amazing. I could even deal with the violin guy from wooden sky. I dont know WHO in the hell paired the midway state up with third eye blind but it was a BIG mistake. by the second song everyone and their mothers (and there were a few) wanted to go out for a smoke. I sure did, and i dont even smoke. I would have liked to see thornley or somebody of equal status opening.

    Best. Concert. EVAR.

    by keenman76 on 2011-05-10Sound Academy - Toronto

Third Eye Blind was awesome - they played tons of extra songs in their encore and had a great show, acoustics were great, both at the back and near the front at Sound Academy. My brother ended up getting a backstage pass and met all the band members as well as the opening band, The Midway State. How sweet is that! They played all my favourite songs from their self-titled album and Blue and some of their new stuff too. All in all, a spectacular night.

Amazing, It was 15 years since I first heard this band working in blue mountain lodge as snowboard bum in high school, so to finally see them was just amazing...Music was excellent, the crowd was great, friendly atmosphere and the sound academy had the perfect acoustics and did NOT OVER SELL the event...the only issue I have is that I collect band posters and third eye blind did not have any for sale...very disappointing... in the the little effort it takes to make a poster they should have had one...but all in all the event was excellent..And I did get a poster of who????...."the midway state" yeh!!! I cant wait to tell the story of that one to the grand kids...lol...More bands need to realize that there are a group of people who take great pride in COLLECTING band posters...not over priced fruit of the loom t-shirts.....

    Unbelievable!

    by TBone21 on 2011-05-09Sound Academy - Toronto

I have been waiting for over a decade to find a 3EB concert in Canada. Worth the wait! They are as good live as you would imagine. They played almost all of their classic hits, and the venue was perfect for their style. If you get the chance...see this band.

Jenkins was on point and they were significantly better than I anticipated. Vocals and instrumentals were tight.

I was looking forward to hearing Third Eye Blind's big hits but they hardly played any. They saved Semi-charmed life but didn't play How's it going to be. Not impressed.

    3eb was awesome.

by jonpais on 2011-05-07Sound Academy - Toronto

the good: - the opening band 'the midway state' was awesome. one of the best opening acts i've seen in a while - 3eb rocked live. played all their best songs. - we were right up front, about 10 feet from the stage - probably the best way to watch a band play live at sound academy. crowd was reasonably well behaved. the bad - sound was cut off towards the end of the opening band's performance. hence, you couldn't hear the end of their performance (which was unfortunate for the opening act) - tough to see the stage if someone taller is in front of you (i.e. sound academy is not the best venue to see shows) - 3eb came on at 10.30 and played until 12. way too short of a performance.
