From the moment I heard her voice on the sound system I knew the moment had finally arrived. Tig totally rocked it! love her specials, but to be in the same room is absolute ecstasy! Come back soon!
My second show at the Danforth Music Hall in as many weeks - great venue! And I was so thrilled to see Tig - it did not disappoint!
I usually find Tig Nataro hilarious but I did not this night. I also thought the piano portion of ther comedy went too far. Not my favourite stand up comedian in person.
You couldnt see facial expressions or movements. A couple of big screens would be helpful. Punch lines repeated too often and long pauses became boring. If you didnt know Big Little Lies, and even if you did, that whole Nicole Kidman/Shailene Woodley thing was way too long and not funny. Even the fireman thing-boring. People laughed because they felt they had to, you know to be nice. I went to the show because liked her on tv. Live show sucked. Maybe people should stick with what they're good at. Stay home.
No spoilers for those going to future shows, but it was great to have a fun evening, live and in person, with Tig sharing new material and being her dry, funny self.
Everything any Tig Notato fan would want in a live show. The venue was great. She was hilarious and I can't wait to see her again.
I knew Tig would be hilarious because I’ve watched all her Netflix specials, her TV show, the documentary about her, have seen her on Stephen Colbert countless times, and I regularly listen to her podcast. But seeing her in person was even MORE exciting and hilarious than I anticipated. She is so entirely comfortable on stage, so self-confident and genuinely relatable that you just want her as your best friend. Sadly, she has enough friends (along with a wife and adorable twins). Oh well. At least you can go and see her show and have a little bit of her hilarity shine down on you. It has made my summer.
Tig delivered. Great show. The opener's humour was a bit ' Gen Z' for my taste, but it was alright. Tig was dry and hilarious. The Danforth seats though...wow Really depends where you are. I'm only 5'6 and my knees were crammed up to my chest for the show. I felt bad for the taller individuals in my row. A woman beside me watched the whole show sitting sideways. It was painful. I also wanted the crowd to clear a bit before exiting (masked and covid consvious) but a staff member yelled at my partner and I "Lets go. Up and out now!" ...There were hundreds of people around us. Seemed like a power-tripping jailguard.
We've always loved Tig and the show didn't disappoint. Hilarious set where I couldn't control my laughter
