Poor game, poor service...
by MountainLion on 2009-07-11BMO Field - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5The game was quite boring, while the stadium is poorly designed and the service is equally poor. You can't even bring in your own water. Apparently, many locals are used to that, but that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Moreover, I had snack bars with me and the front door personnel just threw them out into the garbage while ravaging through my small bag in which I carry water and my wallet. They could have at least warned us before we actually bought the tickets, but we only found out at the gate. The stadium provides no protection against the weather. So, if it's raining, you are stuck sitting in the pool of water soaking wet, while the players have to contend with slippery field. We actually brought umbrellas and we were told you can't use them because it would abstract the view for others. That makes sense, but when we said that we will simply not use them we were still told that we couldn't come inside with them and one of us had to walk all the way back to the car to put them away. Somehow, though, there were still people on the stands with umbrellas... Teams were of equal strength but zero excitement on the field... I am definitely not going back to this stadium ever again and have relayed my experience to all my acquaintances.
