Toronto Raptors History
The Toronto Raptors were founded in 1995 as part of the NBA's expansion into Canada. The Raptors have been the only NBA team based in Canada since the 2001–02 season. After acquiring eight-time All-Star Vince Carter in 1998, the Raptors set league-wide attendance records and made the playoffs from 2000 to 2002. Led by Carter, the Raptors earned their first playoff series win in 2001 and advanced to the Eastern Conference semifinals.
The Raptors didn't return to the playoffs until the 2006–07 season, when they won the Atlantic Division title. After Masai Ujiri joined as the team's General Manager in 2013, the Raptors became a consistent playoff team, winning five division titles and having their most successful season in 2018. The following year, during the 2019 playoffs, the Raptors earned their first Eastern Conference title and went on to win their first NBA championship, defeating the Warriors in 6 games.

Lebron James can you say more - he’s the goat for a reason. Seats were nice view but they were broken (arm part of it was loose and fell off mid game).
We splurged on amazing seats, section 108 row 17. Felt in the middle of the action, Raptors game was amazing! Walked away feeling that was a great evening! Fair warning drinks and food on the pricey side, glass of wine $25, hot dog $15, salad $20.
Took my son to a preseason game against the Celtics. From the moment we entered you noticed the renovations. Beautiful! Definitely more room for people to move. Just wish, I'd thought ahead to get my sons name listed under birthdays. Great, nail biting game. Loved every minute! Let's go Raptors!!
Watched Raptors and Celtic play. Good view lower bowl. Easy in and out of game after. Raptors won by one point. Can’t ask for more than that.
Very fun to experience in person would recommend at least 1 time that you need to do
My wife and I recently attended a Raptors-Wizards preseason game at the Bell Center in Montreal. We had a great time. The size and athleticism of the players was amazing and comes through much better live than on television. In addition, we were never bored as there was always something going on during the breaks (mascot antics, cheerleaders/dancers, celebrity presentations, etc.). This event exceeded my expectations, and we will be back. Highly recommended!
Great experience please come back every year !! Montreal loves the NBA!!
It was really a great experience, we really had some good time. We had a high seat but a nice view anyway.
This was our first time experiencing an NBA game live, and it was unforgettable! There’s nothing better than spending a great evening with my son. While the tickets weren’t cheap and the food even pricier, life is too short not to enjoy these special moments. I only wish we had a home team here in Montreal — we could use more basketball games in our city!
Over all we had an excellent experience, it was my first time at the scotiabank center and it did not disappoint. The staff were amazing, the availability of food and drink was excellent, bathrooms were clean and the process for entering was timely and easy. My only comment would be that we seemed to be sitting on the wrong side of the court, which had no effect on watching the game but all performances faced the other way and performers had their back to us the entire time. Also all giveaways only happened on the other side of the court.
Excellent show. Great game! We had a great time. Many artists invented at half time...thanks
Mediocre, next season will be great. Changes amongst the team’s core will be a watch. Masai direction is very important for the fan base.
Such an exciting party! Great high energy! Fire, dancing, food, drinks, meet great people in the stands ...and the basketball is great too!
Raptors tried their best despite many of the players unable to play due to injuries. Nice tribute to OG Ananoby. Wish he was still playing as a Raptor.
The location of the Stadium is excellent. The staff there are generally okay. However, when will the Raptors win? After spending so much money, I don't want to watch them keep losing. It is very frustrating for me after watching them losing the game over and over.
I love the services at the Scotia Bank Arena. From the Security to the bars and shops, everyone makes your experience unforgettable. Seeing your favourite players in person puts you right in the game. It's much better there than watching on TV.
If I have chance I will never purchase ticket in 313 sections
Took my wife to the Raptors game vs the Nets. The half time performance by my fellow Vincentian Soca Artiste Skinny Fabulous. And a Raptors win. It was an Epic experience.
Great game and great time …enjoyed the game, we won, the food , show and obviously the beer
En tant que Français qui découvrent une salle du championnat de NBA, ce fut une soirée magique. De plus notre joueur de basket préféré, Victor Wembanyama a été excellent et les Spurs ont largement gagné.
