Another great night with these Canadian Rock Legends
by David Long on 2024-04-02The Opera House - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5As a massive music fan, I have had the privilege and opportunity to see hundreds and hundreds of bands over the years at various venues around the world with varied crowd sizes, ranging from tens of people to hundreds of people to thousands of people to Woodstock ‘99 with over 250,000 strong (and slightly rabid to boot lol).
However, every time I see this “super group” perform, it transforms me back to my childhood and teen years, but it also reminds me of how rich of a musical radiation and culture we have right here in our great country 🇨🇦
From the introduction of the band by Kids in the Hall icon Bruce McCulloch, to the band’s covers of 1970’s classics, to each member playing every instrument and their own songs, to Junkhouse frontman Tom Wilson jumping out from behind us onto the stage for the encore, this was truly a special night with great company!
PS for selfish reasons, I still wish that Bruce would have performed “These are the Daves I know” 🤣
