Vancouver Canucks History
The Vancouver Canucks started play in 1970, entering the league along with the Buffalo Sabres. Vancouver has been to the Stanley Cup Final on three occasions, though they lost to the New York Islanders in 1982, the New York Rangers in 1994 and the Boston Bruins in 2011.
Despite humble beginnings, the Canucks continued to develop. With the arrival of three key players—Captain Trevor Linden, netminder Kirk McLean, and "the Russian Rocket" Pavel Bure, the Canucks had a winning Playoff run season—making it to the 1994 finals.
The Canucks continued to acquire superstars like Alexander Mogilny and Markus Näslund, and while the following years meant a series of losses, it allowed for the team to draft Henrik and Daniel Sedin, who would go on to lead the Canucks to Presidents' Trophies in back-to-back seasons in 2010-11 and 2011-12, as well as their finals appearance in 2011.

Despite the provincial health orders and repeated announcements in the arena there were a good deal of people who were openly flaunting their lack of masks. I failed to see any event staff take any action whatsoever. This is sad, unfortunate and unnecessary. And should be addressed immediately.
I always wanted to see colorado play. Good game for canucks too.
I had fun even though Canucks lost. Parking was easy to find and I enjoyed all you can eat popcorn and nacho’s & cheese.
I enjoyed the game - lots of scoring chances and entertaining plays even though it was a 1-0 loss. The check-in was was done and efficient. The food I had was delicious - a Forager Dog at Steamers. The only downside to the experience was the line-ups for the food. I ran out of time at the first intermission and had to get it at the second. Most everyone wore their masks and the reminders over the PA and on the big screen helped. Well done.
I am a big woman and had issues with the seat. Its extremely narrow to the point of having to painfully squeeze in. I now have large bruises on both of my legs. My husband is not a large man & he even said it was tight. I know its a large stadium & fixing that issue would be very costly, but just letting you all know that it was a very uncomfortable setting for us, especially when we had to get up to ket others go by. I also felt myself having to lean forward just to feel comfortable as well as to see the game. It was fun to see my first game living here & watch the Canucks play the Blackhawks in Vancouver(I moved here from Chicago last Feb), and, even though the Canucks lost, it was a great game, but it just felt uneasy having to shift & lean in order to feel comfortable...other than that, it was a great night.
The overall experience was great, two games, one win, one loss. Wish the team could find a way to shine. We have traveled for at least 2 games per season, for the past30 plus years. the last couple seasons have not been so great. Changes need to be made.
Rogers and google to add the gates to google map. I had troubles finding gate 16 to pick up the wheelchair for my sister. I missed the 1st period walking from one end of the arena to the other to get the wheelchair. The nucks won so that was awesome!!
Due to the bad weather that left the roads impassable we were u able to drive to the coast from Kelowna. All routes to Vancouver were cut off. We have been trying to get a credit and can’t get a hold of anybody. Under these circumstances we should be offered a refund. The customer service is terrible.
The gals at the lounge were superb very observant paid attention to detail and executed with authority hope to be back the guys did a not bad job also little sloppy if u ask me but cleaned up nice overall victory for the win Gracias Go Canucks Go :)
Started the night out at Frankie's Italian restaurant for a fantastic meal, then went to the Canuck game and the game rocked. The seats were perfect and the price was worth it and if I lived closer we would attend more games.
It was first time to watch hockey game! I really enjoyed it!!!!! And sooooo exciting game!! Thank you for everything!
My wife and I drove in from Kelowna to go to game as we try to go to a few a year ! We hadn’t been for a few years now with the Covid issues ect so this a trip we were looking forward towards seeing! The Canucks played a great 😊 exciting game and did not disappoint! They got character and will only get better as time goes on ! Looking forward to seeing them again live !
Honestly a great time as always at Canucks games. The atmosphere isnt the best in the league but it isnt shabby either. I absolutely adore the new intro and the staff are all great. To no fault of the arena nor staff.... there are some people who do not wear masks as requested. Which is disappointing but to be expected unfortunately. That being said its still a great time!
The game was awesome, Canucks put on a show for their fans. Would’ve been more enjoyable if we weren’t racially profiled by one of the security guards.
One can see in the Canucks it’s starting too work jelling
Bought tickets everything Was easy and flawless. Downloaded ticket to my phone For safe keeping. No problems
Great to be able to attend a Canucks game again. Our issue along with many others in our section is we had no idea until we arrived at our seats that we were in the no alcohol section. No where was it clear during the booking process that I was buying seats in this section, so it was very disappointing especially for a Friday night game. Please make it more clear as our whole row was disappointed and unaware they had bought these seats.
Visiting from the UK, this was our first overseas ice hockey game & it didn’t disappoint. Organisation was excellent & the fillers very funny! The game itself was very exciting. Definitely one of the highlights from our holiday.
Had a great view from upper bowl, and was such a fun experience for my first ever game! A goal scored by the Canucks was Awesome. The goal horn was loud and great.
