Vancouver Canucks History
The Vancouver Canucks started play in 1970, entering the league along with the Buffalo Sabres. Vancouver has been to the Stanley Cup Final on three occasions, though they lost to the New York Islanders in 1982, the New York Rangers in 1994 and the Boston Bruins in 2011.
Despite humble beginnings, the Canucks continued to develop. With the arrival of three key players—Captain Trevor Linden, netminder Kirk McLean, and "the Russian Rocket" Pavel Bure, the Canucks had a winning Playoff run season—making it to the 1994 finals.
The Canucks continued to acquire superstars like Alexander Mogilny and Markus Näslund, and while the following years meant a series of losses, it allowed for the team to draft Henrik and Daniel Sedin, who would go on to lead the Canucks to Presidents' Trophies in back-to-back seasons in 2010-11 and 2011-12, as well as their finals appearance in 2011.

The infrastructure of the stadium is good, lines to get food are not too big. Things are a bit pricey, but not unexpected. The crowd lacks energy, sometimes felt the entire event was low energy. Pump it up.
Arrived at the Rogers arena early for the game Vancouver Canucks vs Vegas Golden Knights. The pre-match entertainment was far better than the game itself which was very one sided and lacked both the on ice spectacle and atmosphere of games I have previously been too. Food and drink outlets are very expensive and washroom facilities poor when you are on the higher levels. Access only appeared to be by stairs with no lifts. Getting away from the Rogers centre by taxi back to our hotel was a nightmare. All in all not the experience we had hoped for or expected. My wife wanted to re-enter the arena on the lower level to use the washroom facilities, but was denied access by the event staff
The whole experience was absolutely amazing, one more off my bucket list
I save up all year to be able to come over from the island to see a game to see a sub par performance from the Canucks. Just a little disappointed.
canucks games are always pretty fun. there’s a lot going on and they can be a little bit overwhelming but generally they’re a good way to spend an evening!
Game aside (they lost). The entertainment value from Orca Bay is good. The complaint always about the games are the venue in which seats are so tight that you are always sitting on top of each other. Unless you are 125 pounds prepare to be intimate with the person next to you. Food prices and beer prices are too high but that is common in most sporting evensts.
Way too many people seated in the wrong section...half of the first period was spent moving people around by the usher, which completely obstructed my view and that of my 7 year old son. This was the worst game I've ever been to for this type of thing. This indicated to me the usher was not where he should have been when people were coming in. Very unprofessional.
First time at the Canucks game. wonderful experience. The event is well organized with so much entertainment. Super helpful staff and good service. From Security check points to elevator, food ordering and delivering services. Food prices are very high but overall good experience at the arena.
Fun time at the Canucks game. First time there, the atmosphere, concessions and entering/existing the facility were all top notch. The only recommendation would be to open the doors an hour earlier so people, especially first timers like myself, have more time to take in the concessions and the arena.
Ok seats for good value! Everything worked out well and we did get good info befors the event.
Love the location, right beside the sky train. Nice and clean venue throughout. Signage isn't the best, for a first time visitor. I probably would have been better to use Google maps to find my gate. Inside was slightly better, except for the members lounge blocking concourse flow for the lower bowl (NHL game). Having said that, getting in and out of the arena doors is pretty quick. It only seats about 19k people, so that helps. $13 for a can of beer from the vendor's walking around is a bit ridiculous. These vendors don't have a price sign, which I guess is the strategy... Overall, it's ok. One game every year or two is all it's worth.
Sad these are concert prices now I have to enjoy from the couch now! LOWER TICKETS
Great venue with professional staff. Black curtain partially obscuring fancy new jumotron.
It was a spur of the moment decision to go after watching the Lions win earlier in the day. We were so glad to have gone, the crowds were upbeat and positive. The visuals were top rate, made it easy to enjoy the game from the high ups!
great experience!! everybody was so welcoming. crazy view
It was my first NHL game that I saw live. The atmosphere in the stadium was simply amazing. I love the game.
Always a great time at Canucks games! Lots of entertainment in between whistles, new jumbo tron is awesome, music is tasteful and one can still get a good seat for $150 bucks.
Great game $10.00 beers that cost $2.00 spoils my enjoyment! And then they want a tip! I do not blame the staff but let’s get real
i loved it, first time seeing hockey and it was an amazing experience, i wish they threw the tshits a bit higher for the people in the 300 areas, but it's free so i cant complain haha. thanks!
