It was a fantastic events. Full of energy and joy. Make some budget for advertisement and promotion. so more people will attend the event.
Breakin' Convention was fantastic! I'm so glad I was able to attend. I will definitely be attending next year and hope to go to both nights!
Really a wonderful event! Breakin' Convention an unforgettable experience for the entire family!
It was one of the best shows I have seen in a long time the dancers were exceptional will deffinetly go see again took my grandchildren who also had a great experience
Fabulous variety of hip hop styles and Jonzi D was an excellent host.
This is our second year at the Breakin Convention at the Sony. This year's lineup had a bit too much contemporary style. I LOVED the groups who performed traditional hip hop, poppin/breakin! I do enjoy the thoughtful deepness of contemporary pieces that force me to think and focus but only like to see a few of those. Overall very fun atmosphere and good family fun.
The performances were fabulous - graceful, athletic, artistic and creative... some were awe-inspiring! In particular the lone female dancer from France and the group from The Netherlands were breathtakingly beautiful... but every performance was world class. If they have this again next year, I'm going for sure!!!
First I'd like to say that all the dancers were very talented and put on great performances. The problem I had with this event was that I was expecting it to be more of a break dancing convention and they really only had two break dancing acts. The two acts that they had were good and entertaining but I guess I expected to see more of that style. Most of the acts were more contemporary/interpretive dance which isn't what I paid to see. I was disappointed with how this was promoted.
Jonzi D puts on one hell of a show! Where else can you see great acts from the UK, France, The Netherlands and homegrown talent from Brampton, Montreal and Vancouver? It was a diverse showcase of traditional b-boy talent and amazing progressive Hip Hop.
