    Fun at the Cirucs

by Terrra on 2018-07-29Corpus Christi High School - Burlington, Ontario

Me and my two adult daughters (22 & 20) went. I saw the big top going up earlier and the week and it reminded me of my childhood when the circus came to town. We had a blast! The acts were really good. The last act was on America's Got Talent. It was a little warm after a while in the tent, but luckily it was a cooler, breezy day. Dress appropriately. Fun for all ages.

    Royal Canadian Family Circus

by beaverii on 2018-07-11Paramount Fine Foods Centre – Outside Circus Tent - Mississauga

The actual acts were great, however we had issues with the following: 1. There were no fans to circulate the air inside the tent. It was extremely hot for the audience and I’m sure the performers. 2. It was very evident that the company was trying to get every penny out of the audience that they could: (a) Long lines for pony rides delayed the performance both before and after intermission. (b) The two transformers that were used as photo ops had nothing to do with the show. (c) Sellers of food, drinks and flashing sabres etc. were allowed to move through the audience during the entire performance. This was very distracting and once the long flashing swords were sold, children were allowed to wave them in front of people sitting behind them, blocking their view. (d). Face painting went on during all the acts too. 3. The head manager of the seating was extremely rude and unethical. When the three of us, all seniors, entered the tent the head escorted us to 3 VIP seats. We didn’t have VIP seats, but assumed these were extras? About midway during the first half, this rude employee came over and asked us for our VIP passes. We explained we didn’t have any, but she had seated us there. She denied this and made us move to the very back of the tent. We had purposely arrived very early to get good seats because we didn’t purchase VIP seats. Unfortunately, the site we purchased our tickets on, didn’t offer this option. We explained this to her, but she embarrassed us and made a scene making us move during one of the acts. 4. There were many children in attendance. Unfortunately, with no clowns or other acts for youngsters. They appeared very bored and therefore were noisy and disruptive. 5. Most of the acts we’re acrobatics and therefore not enough variety. I would like to stress that the performers we’re excellent and put their hearts into their performances. It was the overall management of the entertainment that was disappointing. 6. There was only one entrance both before and during the entire production. This caused problems for people trying to exit for washworms etc. especially at half time. Thank you for a chance to voice my opinions.

Unbearably hot tent and seats with no back!

by Shar75 on 2018-06-26Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

This is the second time I've been to the circus, When I went 2 years ago all he had to do was bring my ticket up on my phone and they scanned it before I went in. I waited in a long line for an hour and when I got to the front they told me that all Ticketmaster tickets had to be redeemed at the box office. So again I had to go wait for another 20 minutes at the box office to get a ticket to get into the show. I was quite irritated as I went early so I can get good seats. Now when I went in they were no good seats and I had to sit at the top on a bench with no back rest. I would say half of the content was the same from two years ago. They had an active from America's got talent and they were pretty good. But I seen all the tricks on TV so I knew what they were going to do. The tent was unbearably hot, they should find some ways to put some ventilation in the tent. Also 3/4 of the seating or bench style seating where there's no backs, so for me my back hurt throughout the experience. It's kind of pathetic how they beg for money there, they promote all their overpriced toys and mediocre food That's so expensive it's not even worth it.

    Worst event ever

by Corriea on 2018-06-26Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

Too HOT inside!!! Unbearable. Had to leave an hour in to the show. Not even 1 fan. I’m surprised someone didn’t faint. Too loud!! Sound system was ear piercingly loud. Performers were below average except for the juggler. No animals. Just mediocre acrobatic displays. This was not a circus it was a variety show with very little variety. Not a clown or dog to be seen. Food was way overpriced. Announcer was pushing to sell their kids light up toys. Again ridiculously priced. Center ring was way too small and you had to wait while they took down an act and put up another. Very very disappointed. Sorry but true

    Inspiring Performance

by Tamara86 on 2017-06-19Edmonton Northlands Grounds - Edmonton

We took our family to this show. It was the first time we have ever been to a circus and we were blown away! The entire event was well organized and the people were friendly and helpful, and the show itself was breathtaking! Lots of variety and action! Great fun for kids and parents alike! We would definitely go again!
