The entire performance was way better then expected. Daughter's first show and the kids on stage delivered big time. All the live instrument play was fantastic.

School of Rock is One of my favourite movies and this play did not disappoint! The music was fantastic and boy did we laugh. The actors were amazing. It was so awesome to see everyone playing their own instruments.

Show was great. A little slow getting into it but then was very heartwarming, most enjoyable. The kids were fantastic! A must see for people in the teaching profession.

The actual premise and storyline of the show was great. The kids were amazing! However, the main actor ruined the show for me. You could not understand a single thing he was saying when he was singing unfortunately.

Gold Stars for everyone
National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa
At the beginning of the show, Andrew Lloyd Webber's voice comes on over the sound system to answer the one question everyone has about this show - YES, the children all play their own instruments. Therein lies the real magic of this musical. While set design is impeccable, the adult acting and singing extraordinary, the children steal the show with their outstanding talent and professionalism . The stage version is quite true to the film, so no disappointment there either for those looking for the Jack Black tone throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed the performances of Merritt David Janes in the role of Dewey Finn and Lexey Dorsett Sharp as Miss Mullens.
