Extravagant beer pricing
by Tyler on 2023-04-27TN Square - WinnipegIt's definitely fun cheering on your home team with others, and despite the loss my partner and I had a decent time. Two issues stuck out for us, however: 1) Watching and listening to the broadcast was way less than ideal, as not only were the nearest TVs to the spot we found partially blocked by low-hanging pendant lights, but we also couldn't hear the play-by-play announcers from our location. Walking around the interior space, we realized there were definitely better locations for hearing the sounds of the game, but that's impossible to know before the game is being broadcast, so we definitely didn't luck out with our location. 2) The price of drinks were on par with prices inside the hockey arena, watching the game LIVE, IN PERSON. $12 + tax and tip for a beer is pretty tough to swallow. It kept us from drinking more than 2 beers each over the 4+ hours we were there, and had I realized how much we were being charged after the first order we probably would have just drank the one each. Gouging is not a good look, TNSE.
