Winnipeg Jets History
The Winnipeg Jets were founded in 1997 as the Thrashers, and began play in the 1999–2000 NHL season, spending 11 seasons in Atlanta and making the playoffs once in 2006-2007. In 2011, the franchise was sold to True North Sports and Entertainment, which relocated the team to Winnipeg and adopted the name of the city's original franchise in the World Hockey Association, the Jets.
Major league hockey dates back to 1972 in Winnipeg, which was home to one of the founding franchises of the WHA and one of four (along with Quebec, Hartford and Edmonton) to join the NHL when the leagues merged in 1979. The original Jets moved to Phoenix in 1996 and became the Phoenix Coyotes (now the Arizona Coyotes). In the 12 seasons that the Jets have been in Winnipeg, they’ve made six playoff appearances, including a run to the Western Conference Finals in 2018.
In 2016, the team established the Winnipeg Jets Hall of Fame, with the "Hot Line" trio of Anders Hedberg, Bobby Hull and Ulf Nilsson as the inaugural inductees. Recent inductees include Teemu Selänne and Teppo Numminen.

Great game experience but really should accept cash. Pandemic is over and cash is king! Minus one star for the inconvenience of having to use a plastic card all the time!
This was our first time buying tickets for an NHL game EVER!!! The tickets were fairly cheap as I missed the pre-sale code. The tickets were easy to use, right on your phone so no chance to loose them! The app was easy to use and easy to figure out! The seats we sat in were in the upper bowl middle section which was an amazing view of the whole rink! All and all very pleased with this app purchase! I LOVE ticketmaster 🖤 would totally do thus again!
Don’t care if they win or loose old cliche, obviously I want them to win but watching them right now with the hard nose work ethic go go go attitude just nice to watch now that’s hockey proud to be a Jets fan right now. Go Jets go.
The Hockey game was awesome, the whole experience. I’ve never been there before but it did not disappoint. Everyone loved it and had fun, definitely no complaints from me.
Overall was super easy from purchasing, to downloading the tickets to scanning us in! Had a great time and very pleased with the ease of it all
So happy to finally get to an NHL game, at 64 y.o.! Ticketmaster made the purchase effortless, seats were great, venue clean and exciting!
Need some help information about my tickets i bought tickets for Toronto maple leafs game on Saturday at 6pm
Fantastic seats! Wonderful evening! Great game! The only thing missing was our star, get well and come back to us soon!
Tickets were a decent price but the food and drinks are very excessive in price.
Game was exciting. Seats were acceptable & price was reasonable. Only concern is the price charged at the Vendors. Would probably sell more food if the prices were so steep.
Ticket purchase and venue entrance were easy with Ticketmaster. Great experience. Got to support the Winnipeg Jets.
I went to cheer my self up. Worked. Great to see the jet win.
Sat beside some beautie jets fans as an oilers fan at a flyers game. Was so fun
Easy access to entrance, getting to seats. Quick exit. TN staff very helpful. Enjoyed all the game entertainment, would have liked to get a toque! Just kidding.
My first Jet home game at Canada Life Centre, during a visit from out of town. Sold out game. I was shocked when I went to get a drink from the 300 level concourse at the 5 minute mark of the third period. I was the only person in the concourse. No exaggeration. Great to be at an NHL game with only real fans in attendance.
This was the most amazing memorable experience ever. Every minute was fun and as a bonus we won the game. As a senior in the late 70's we have the time and are able to afford many more games each year. But also as a senior we were not raised with computers and cellphones in our lives, so navigating your system to buy tickets is very difficult and stressful. An easier way to buy them would make this experience a 10+ and we would want to attend more often.
Good seats good game well organized and good jets dogs!
very organized , clean environment, safe space , helpful staff and nice people and i am glad they do a student rush program !
The skills comp wasn’t as well organized this year and it was difficult to understand the announcers. Because I wasn’t able to understand, I was much less engaged.
