Wizard of Oz Tickets

Last evening I joined a full house to view this lively show.Many of the young girls in the audience were dressed in Dorothy costumes, complete with little baskets and stuffed dogs. Dorothy captivated everyone's heart with her beautiful voice. The acting was good, as was the music. I found the dancing to be mediocre, with the exception of the Jitterbug number. The special effects and staging were well done, and believable. At many points in the production I could overhear the audience either singing along or saying word for word the dialogue. This is a well known story and a very pleasant evening's entertainment.

I found this production of the Wizard of Oz extremely disappointing. The acting was okay but not outstanding The singing lacked enthusiasm, were the actors really singing? How can anyone produce a play about the Wizard of Oz and not have a yellow brick road? Some of the Munchkins were so tall! "Sexy" dancing trees!? Didnt' work. The sets were very disappointing, very boring The poppy scene was lovely. The highlight was definitely Toto. I've purchased tickets for 4 plays at Hamilton Place - I certainly hope they all arent as disappointing as The Wizard of Oz.

I brought my 8 year old daughter to see this awesome show. Where to start? It was just overall amazing. I had the greatest time watching this show. I can't even find a complaint, even if I tried. I would take anyone to see it as I'm sure young and old and everyone in between would thoroughly enjoy it!

A favourite classic movie turned into a Broadway show was most enjoyable!

I thought this show was truly amazing. I am a true Wizard of Oz fan. They did a wonderful job following the real movie. When Dorothy got the ruby slippers they did a great job of the transformation of foot wear. The little boy sitting next to me was in awe on how they did that. The dog did a terrific job. The training involved must have been huge. All the characters were very much in line with the movie. I enjoyed the humour they put in as well as the jitterbug scene. The time went by quickly. I have raved about the show to everyone. I would definately get tickets to see this show again.

Excellent show for any age, my daughter is only 3yrs old, and it managed to keep her interest enough to keep her awake well past her bedtime. It was awesome.

Thought the Wicked Witch of the West was brilliant! The show was very well done!

My Daughter and I enjoyed the Wizard of Oz very much. It amazes me, thinking of a certain scenes from the movie and wondering how it will be done in the theatre. We sat in balcony B and it was enjoyable from up there. However we were closer to the sides and some of the characters were cut from our view. Would I go again, yes for sure. Well worth it and not expensive. I was grateful for the underground parking to be only $5.00, which you sure would not see in Toronto.

Absolutely amazing preformance. The cast were just like the movie but better! All have incredible talent. The set was very creative and enjoyable to look at. Special effects were fantastic (i.e. witches fire, video screens, etc.) Overall the best show I have ever seen!

Show was quite good. Actors were perfect for the parts. But we had 1st balcony tickets on the sides and couldn't see some of the play as the lights and tower were in the way. But at least we still heard them talk. Other than that, love Hamilton Place for plays like that!!!!

The actors did there very best and the main characters should be commended for their ability to handle the cheesy scenery. I have frequented many a broadway play (in NewYork) as well as the theatre in Toronto, upon my return home my words to my husband were 2nd rate and cheesy backdrops and scenery.

-the show was amazing everybody did such a good job playing there part. Lights backgroubnds theatrical everything was superb. Job well done. All the people involved should give themself a pat on the back.

The entire show kept you captivated from beginning to end. The music, lighting, pyrotechnics, choreography, singing; well all of it was truly an experience. If you ever get the chance to see it, GO!
