About

Zac Brown Band on Tour

Zac Brown is the founder, front man, and lead vocalist for the multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning, southern rock group Zac Brown Band. In addition to being the founding member of Zac Brown Band and leading it through its overwhelming success, Brown is also credited as an impactful songwriter, producer, record label head, business man, and philanthropist - making him one of the sharpest minds among today's generation of artists focused on shifting the paradigm of the music business.

Brown was born in 1978 in Atlanta, Georgia and grew up in a family of 12 children. Later on, Brown attended the University of West Georgia and in 2002, founded Zac Brown Band. Since then, Brown's passion shifted to music and he went on to start his own label, Southern Ground Artists, in 2003. From there, Brown's first widely distributed studio album with Zac Brown Band, The Foundation, sold more than 5 million copies making the album 5x platinum following its release in 2008. The lead song off The Foundation, "Chicken Fried," the band's first national release, also went 5x platinum with over 5 million sales and over 255 million streams. Brown has released four studio albums, two live albums, a greatest hits album, and an extended play produced by Dave Grohl, all with Zac Brown Band - now completely made up with Brown along with Jimmy De Martini, John Driskell Hopkins, Clay Cook, Chris Fryar, Coy Bowles, Daniel de los Reyes, and Matt Mangano.

Zac Brown Band's success can largely be attributed to Brown's interest in pushing creative boundaries through collaborations with top artists across genres including Avicii, Chris Cornell, Jimmy Buffett, Foo Fighters, Sheryl Crow, Sara Bareilles, and Jason Mraz to name a few. Most recently, Brown worked with Shawn Mendes on writing his latest single with Zac Brown Band titled "Someone I Used To Know," which debuted on Billboard's Hot Country Song Chart the week of its release in Nov. 2018. The new material comes as the band is preparing to kick off their "Down The Rabbit Hole Live," spring 2019 tour this coming March, following 2018's 31-stop summer tour of the same name.

Most recently, in December of 2018, Brown announced the launch of his new entertainment and lifestyle branded parent company, Zac Brown Collective, formerly known as Southern Ground. The reimagined company expanded its brand portfolio; further rising Brown's artistic and entrepreneurial pursuits to new heights. Zac Brown Collective brings together the best in music, film, food, fashion, custom design, and American-made gear to form a company made up of brands that are fully grounded in the "American experience."

Brown's commitment to giving back has also been at the forefront of his career since day one when he founded Camp Southern Ground. The camp, Brown's biggest passion, is an inclusive camp serving children ages 7-17 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, dyslexia, social or emotional challenges, and typically developing children. The camp's off-season programming supports post 9/11 veterans in their readjustment to civilian life. Zac Brown Collective allocates funds and resources to the camp - making all of Brown's work beneficial to a cause dear to his heart. In 2017, Brown was honored with the CRS Humanitarian Award, presented annually to musicians who use their careers to serve others in need and contribute to the greater good. The award was presented to Brown for his work supporting our nation's veterans and for his nonprofit passion project Camp Southern Ground.

Zac Brown Band is represented by Creative Artists Agency, SB Projects, communications and branding agency JONESWORKS, & Zac Brown Collective.

    Zac Brown was the best!

by Barters on 2013-09-03Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

This was one of the best performances I have been to in a long time. The acoustics were great. There wasn't so much flash that it took away from the singing. It was like a big jam session. Their live performances sound just like their CD's. Would definitely go back!

    Zac Brown best again

by jlms on 2013-09-02Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

Once again Zac Brown Band was amazing. Not just a single country performer like Luke Bryan, etc. but a complete band. Concert featured each band member at various times. Opening acts not noteworthy but seldom are.

Show opened on time. Stage was great, band was great, and fellow concert goers were well behaved(no liquor sales in the pit). A pleasant experience.

A concert and so much more!

by mitch100 on 2013-09-02Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

Nothing could have dampened my experience seeing one of my favourite bands (not even the torrential downpour) but I got far more than I bargained for! The Zac Brown Band brought it all, their crowd pleasing favourites, a fantastic acoustic set, and some covers that would blow your socks off. Metallica, Van Morrison, Led Zeppelin, David Gray. This is one band that's not only country but can rock with the best of them. Some of the most talented musicians around. I'll be first in line when they return to Toronto or any city nearby. One of the best concerts I've seen in the past few years. Thanks for an unforgettable night.

We had a blast! It was raining but we brought our concert chairs and ponchos so we were comfy and dry. The sound was great and the show was upbeat and fun. Would go again anytime.

    ZBB was amazing!

by RiniBee on 2013-05-31Chelsea Ballroom at the Cosmopolitan Hotel - Las Vegas, Nevada

Other than the Venue being less than organized, a line-up for the concert, bevy's and souvenirs was beyond ridiculous. You'd think for Vegas, and for a venue with 4000 capacity that they would be better prepared! The band itself was fantastic. Loved seeing Zac Brown get all choked up during colder weather. You know you've made it as a band when the audience can sing along to every single song! Blackberry Smoke opened for the band and they too were fantastic. I had never heard of them before but bought their albums from iTunes as soon as I got home from Vegas. I would definitely recommend you see these guys! I've already bought tickets to their show in my hometown this September 2013... nothing like seeing a band that can sing and play their own instruments in this day of electronica!

by RiehlZ on 2013-05-02The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Other than the 4 hours of standing and no washrooms available, the performance was unbelievable. No fault of the band obviously. ZBB is awesome!!

    ZBB is Absolutely Awesome

by 81odysseys on 2012-09-29Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

There are not many newer acts I fully enjoy these days, but the Zac Brown Band is an exception and is one of my favourites. This was easily one of the top 5 best shows I have ever seen. Talented group of guys, great songs, and endless energy. A great choice of covers done so well was an added bonus. If you "think" you might be a fan check them out, and you will be a fan for life!

Zac Brown Band - better than expected

by lonepalm on 2012-09-09Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

Lovin' the ZBB. Music was tight, the band sounded good, and the sound mix was right so that you could hear the singer and lyrics in every song. Great energy on the stage and great energy in the crowd. The solos, while good, seemed to stretch a bit long, but since they were likely instead of an intermission, not a bad thing.
