About

Sony Music Nashville artist Zach John King is pushing country in a brand new direction - straight toward the truth, no matter where it leads. Raised in Fayetteville, Georgia, the rising star grew up old school but dreaming of escape. A fan of everything from George Jones and Otis Redding to The Police, Third Eye Blind, Switchfoot, and Biz Markie, King fronted an indie-rock band through college before moving to Nashville in 2021. King's 2024 breakout single, "Wannabe Cowboy," later put him on the map, with the track garnering 5.4 million streams worldwide and earning placements on playlists like Spotify's New Boots, Fresh Country & Next From Nashville. The past year and a half have been a whirlwind for King as he released a new EP, Slow Down. He also recently joined the lineup for Morgan Wallen's "I'm The Problem Tour" as an opener, an opportunity that confirms King's "widely acknowledged status as a future star of the genre," (Holler). With new music out now, there's much more on tap.

  • One of the Concerts: He felt like a close friend on stage

Probably the most fun I’ve had at a concert. The tickets were super affordable, Zach talked with the crowd and made him seem like a close friend. He played every song acoustically, solo, and he didn’t skip a beat or choke. He really does have talent, and the entire crowd was signing along with him. After his set, he came off stage and walked around the floor and chatted with the crowd. I got the opportunity to talk with him and he was a super stand up guy, very polite, interesting and he never seemed stuck up or higher ground like many artists do. We got talking about a similar hobby (hunting) and he felt like a close friend. 10/10 go see him if you can!
