    Incredible

by Matthew on 2024-03-23The Opera House - Toronto

These guys never disappoint. Instrumentally, Between the Buried and Me are firing on all cylinders. The guitar work is nothing short of mesmerizing, with heavy riffs, haunting melodies, and jaw-dropping solos that showcase the band's technical prowess and inventive songwriting. The rhythm section provides a rock-solid foundation, effortlessly navigating the tracks myriad twists and turns with precision and finesse. Vocally, frontman Tommy Giles Rogers Jr. delivers a tour de force performance, effortlessly shifting between guttural growls, soaring cleans, and everything in between. If you have not seen them live I cannot recommend going enough. Must see live!

    BTBAM!

by Cam on 2024-03-23The Opera House - Toronto

Great band as always, unbelievable how they pull off the mind-bending mix of styles they do. Colors 2 in full is something unforgettable, and no other group could pull off. Clean vocals felt a bit shaky at times, but I'm picking at flaws, BTBAM!

BTBAM Brings the Opera House Down

by BRN2PRFRM on 2024-03-23The Opera House - Toronto

Between the Erin and me at the opera house was an incredible experience. I was sad not to attend the Monday show where they did colours from their 2007 debut in its entirety. I had the pleasure of listening to Colours to also release in 2007. What release stood out was the incredible mix at the opera house had the venue supported both Moshpit large General audience, as well as balcony, standing and seating, so there wasn’t an issue about sidelines, but the truly icing on the cake was the stunning visuals that between the be paired with their music, awe dripping, what a trip. They are a must see in your metal bucket list.

    BTBAM - prog gods

by anon on 2023-06-28The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Amazing show and amazing band. Lighting, screens, and stage setup were super engaging, along with the frontman moving from synth and singing, to going all around the stage. Band was dare I say almost too tight, I'd be shocked if they didn't use a click, however that takes nothing away from how flawlessly they pulled off a full album run. If you like prog metal, they're a must see, still killing it.

The Only Religious Experience I've Ever Had

by Dancing Towards Our Future on 2023-06-28The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Simply put: of over nearly one hundred fifty concerts over the past 18 years of my life (since I first saw Primus at age 16), this was the greatest show I have ever seen or will ever hope to see, finally toppling the reign of The Mars Volta's 2008 show in Vancouver as the greatest concert I've been to. My favourite band played my favourite album in its entirety and I melted into the floor for an hour and 20 minutes. I've never had anything like a "bucket list" before, but as soon as I found out this show tour was happening I made a list in my head and added one single item: See BTBAM play The Parallax II in its entirety. And two nights ago I checked that off. I would of course be very sad if for some reason I could never see another concert for the rest of my life, but I would die happily knowing this was the last concert I ever got to see. I always listen to this album when flying anywhere because if the plane crashes, this is the music I want to be listening to when I die. I am an atheist by any measure but this show was the closest thing to a religious experience I've ever had. Everyone knowing the words to every song and chanting along in unison sounded SO freakin' cool. Everyone was feeling the music so viscerally. Everyone was dancing or swaying to the rhythm (for the 17 seconds before the rhythm changed again). Not a single person in attendance was not absolutely enthralled with that they were seeing and hearing. The guitars had a "crunchier" sound than on the album and it sounded AMAZING live. My brain shut off and I left my body and the whole crowd became as one. What an amazing audience and what a perfect show. It was perfect. My life is now perfect.

One of the greatest bands of our time

by BTBAM Enjoyer on 2023-06-28The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

The Danforth Hall is perhaps my least favourite music venue in Toronto, it’s not well set up for heavy music. Having said that, watching BTBAM perform one of their best albums live in entirety is an experience I will never forget. It was spiritual. This band is unreal in terms of talent and performance. The lighting was also on point.

    Between the Buried and Me

by JohnnyPhoenix on 2011-12-10The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

As always, the guys from BTBAM blew minds and melted faces. The show began with a band called Tesseract. I had never heard of them before and though I only caught their last couple of songs, I was very impressed. The next act belonged to the incredible instrumental progressive metal band Animals As Leaders. They too delivered an exceptional performance. Between the Buried and Me were note-for-note perfect, just like they were the last two times I saw them. It's somewhat rare when an artist or band is able to sound as good live as they do in the studio but BTBAM often sounds better. Not only do they play flawlessly, but the stage presence and energy they display is phenomenal (especially Tommy Rogers, the vocalist). My one problem was that Tommy's mic should have been turned up higher, the vocals were often hard to hear, especially the clean singing.
