Tesla were the openers, who were great! They were never my favourite band growing up but they had some good tunes that they performed really well. Cowboy Song, Love, and Signs are three that come to mind, but there were more. They played for exactly 1 hour on at 7 off at 8, like clockwork.
Def Leppard were also great, they hit the stage at 8:30. This was my first time seeing both bands live. They played most of their hits, the only two songs I wished they had played were Women, and Too Late For Love. You could tell Joe Elliott struggles a little to hit the big notes, but how many people can still hit those notes at 59?
Overall I was not disappointed. The band seemed genuinely appreciative of the fans and the fact that Canada is one of their biggest supporters (per capita).
I would definitely go see them again. And it doesn't sound like they have any intentions of retiring anytime soon.
