About

Def Leppard are a hard rock band from Sheffield, England and one of the best-selling music acts of all time. The group has sold over 100 million records worldwide and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019 with the current lineup of drummer Rick Allen, guitarists Vivian Campbell and Phil Collen, frontman Joe Elliott and bassist Rick Savage as well as former guitarist Pete Willis and late guitarist Steve Clark. Since forming in 1976, Def Leppard have released 12 studio albums, including their 1980 debut On Through the Night and 1996’s Slang, the first full-length effort featuring the band’s ongoing roster. Def Leppard are one of few bands to notch two diamond-certified albums, for 1983’s Pyromania and 1987’s Hysteria, which both peaked at No. 2 and No. 1 on the Billboard 200, respectively. Overall, the band have earned eight Top 10 albums led by 15 Top 40 singles such as “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” “Photograph,” “Rock of Ages,” “Animal” and the 1988 Hot 100 chart-topper “Love Bites.”

  • Awesome DEF LEPPARD

by Amazongirl on 2011-08-19Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I loved every minute. It helped the atmosphere a lot that the guys didn't come on the stage till it was dark. Maximized their entrance light show. It was awesome all the way through. Very impressed with drummer for what he is able to do with just one arm. AMAZING!!! He needs more time on the big screens. He is amazing and the angle at which his talent is showcased is not good enough. Lets see more of him on the screen and a full view of all his drums etc. This band, unlike the rolling stones, has not seemed to age very much in spite of touring so much as well. Awesome job guys!!! I used POUR SOME SUGAR ON ME at my women's bodybuilding evening pose down in 07 and I really felt the energy. I was looking to feel that energy from this band and I definitely got it. It is wonderful that they have so many great songs, so you are not disappointed to go to a concert. Nothing worse than bands with only one or two good songs.

  • Def Leoppard and Heart

by DaddyIceman on 2011-08-19Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I have never seen any of these bands but listen to them regularily. Heart came out and stunned everyone with old songs. Ann's voice was as great as ever and Nancy didn't miss on guitar. Then Def Leoppard came out and blew us away. The songs were old but sounded just like yesterday. Timeless!!

  • Def Leppard is back!

by Andii on 2011-08-18Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic show, Joe's voice seems to be back in full form as compared to the last time I saw the band. I have nothing but respect for this band but admit I was expecting the same old show that I have seen the past few times they have been here. Tuesday night this was not the case, they were loud, the crowd was totally into it and almost 30 years after the first time I saw them they can still make me feel like a teenager. If you want to experience what a true rock show is you have to see these guys next time they are in town.

  • Best concert ever!!!

    by joey99 on 2011-08-18Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I've got to say it was the best concert I have ever seen. We had great seats and we were able to see everything!!. The beat went through me and it really got me going. The weather and music was GREAT, we also get a good view of the screens that were showing videos close up. It was a great evening!!!

  • Amazing night!

by leeda on 2011-08-18Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Heart started the night with Led Zeppelin and ended the same way- Unbelieveable! Vocals were amazing, muscianship - Ridiculous! Heart was incredible. Def Leppard started a little slow but half way through, I think Joe got an adrenaline rush and kicked it into high gear. All in all, great show.

  • def was amazing

  • Heart and Def Leppard what a combo!

    by Lex67 on 2011-08-18Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Ann Wilson still has the most amazing voice of all female rockers. Def Leppard had the crowd energized and on their feet the whole night. An event you would not want to have missed. Amazing - true musicians without all the extras which is what we truly want. Thanks for an unforgettable evening. One of the best concerts I've been to in the last year.
