Ticket price was reasonable. The daredevil acts were really cool. The spinning
pendulum made me nervous for the stuntman. The contorshanist was amazing.
Horses, elephant, camels, and , zebra we're trained well. I was not really impressed
with the black panther and house cat act, the one clown who just wore normal clothes and acted silly, and the ringmaster who had on a nice white suit with tails but must have lots his top hat in his travels. Maybe I remember from when I was a kid when the cats jumped through hoops, not just from platform to platform to retreive a treat. And this ringmaster spoke in a monotone voice who blew a loud whistle into the microphone which pierced your ears. I kept waiting for the excitement in his voice but it never became evident.
The clown, oh the clown. My children and I were expecting many clowns in bright costumes with painted on happy or sad faces riding big bicycles or unicycles, juggling pins or balls to circus music. Instead there was just one man acting silly. I was not impressed! The music was another thing. It was extremely loud, modern and heavy tunes. The one animal trainer had to motion for the music to be turned down as one could clearly see if was upsetting the zebra and camels. Maybe I am just old fashioned but I was just really expecting an overall traditional circus show. To me including all the fine details is what helps make a show/performance an unforgettable one. Just for thought, if you would not sell a car without the wheels and windows why would a circus performance leave out the clowns a circus music? We also had a hard time watching the ladies on the hanging material spinning around, as the spotlights were right in our eyes. I would not recommend a show like this to a child under 3. My 3 yr son wanted to leave after 15 minutes as did the little girl, about the same age, who was sitting with her parents behind us. The expensive novilty blue light swords also made it difficult to see the performance. Children who were sitting in front of us were waving these making it very distracting.
