Crystal clear music

While I think the atmosphere of an outdoor amphitheatre was the wrong environment for this type of show (a more intimate setting would've been better), it was a nice evening for some great artists playing some classic tunes. It's a shame so many people missed out on some of the more interesting covers and great spots for the back up singers by going for beer...
So much fun !! They played some of their own tunes, but played MANY covers with two fine back up singers Carolyn Leonhart and Catherine Russell. taking the lead on a few of them. As many singers, with age, Fagen and McDonald do struggle to reach those high notes, but Scaggs did so flawlessly. He also got the biggest ovation after his signature tunes.. Lido, Lowdown, Miss Sun.. It's too bad that the artists banned all photography, even though an email from Live Nation that same day said point and shoot camera photography would be allowed. Would love to see this show again, but perhaps an indoor venue with better sound and sightlines.. those posts in the 300 level are annoying.
Great band and selection of songs. Boz Skaggs stole the show as his voice was flawless. Micheal MacDonald is still a favorite of ours but his best singing days are behind him. Because of his forced style I am sure it has taken its toll on the old voice chords. He cannot project like he used to. Problems with scanners prevented us from entering the venue until 1/2 hour to showtime. This should not happen at an event such as this. Luckily it was a crowd of babyboomers or there would have been trouble with a younger crowd.
Some older songs not introduced by any of the band stars.Other than that , a beautiful night with a lot of great music. Magilla
Not sure if McDonald had a cold or a bad mic, but either way not a good performance. Fagan was the best of the three.
