    Roger keeps rocking !

by Turbo17 on 2018-07-13Turning Stone Resort Casino Event Center - Verona

As always, great show from Roger. While Pete's presence was missed, it was partially compensated for by Daltrey digging out some "deep" cuts which the Who rarely play live anymore like "Another Tricky Day" and "Going Mobile" (vocals by Simon Townshend). Roger's voice is outstanding for a 74 year old and he seems to genuinely enjoy performing for loyal fans. Great to see the boys still out rocking and hopefully Roger can convince Pete to hit the road next year for another Who tour !

    Roger Daltry 'TOMMY' Awesome!

by JimiD on 2018-07-08Meadow Brook Amphitheatre - Rochester Hills

Hearing Roger Daltry perform TOMMY live with Detroit Symphany Orchestra was awesome! It could have been louder though. Not sure if people on the hill could hear it that well. We were in the pavillion but wish it was louder.

    Daltrey still rockin' it out!

by Keetums on 2017-12-01The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

He was brilliant, looked great and sounded even better! Simon Townsend and the rest of the band were absolutely amazing! Sound was dodgy through the show and it was obvious Roger was having trouble hearing. I've been to THOUSANDS of shows and I have NEVER seen a performer stop the show and chew out the sound person. He restarted the song (Baba O'Reilly). Upon attempting the next song, the power to the instruments went out. By the time it came back on, Roger had had enough. No encore. People were chastised and told to stop dancing (at their seat) and sit down (this venue should be called Footloose as dancing is apparently NOT permitted). It's a rock show, and it's Daltrey - everyone should be on their feet!!! Would've been nicer if the area I was sitting in wasn't full of fuddy-duddies who just sit there. This venue seems to have a REAL problem with people having a good time at a show. Their Front of House are NOT very friendly at this venue - very disappointing - AGAIN! Thinking I'll bring my money elsewhere.

    Daltrey still delivers

Roger Daltry is a Rock Star. Still has the voice and vitality. In addition Simon Townshend and the Band performed flawlessly All the Who hits and some great songs from Rogers solo albums. The night was magical..

Roger still rocks !!!! (even without Pete lol)

by Turbo17 on 2017-11-09The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

As always with The Who (either together or solo) an outstanding show. This solo Daltrey show was somewhat unique in that roughly half of the tunes were more "deep cuts" or his solo stuff - both of which are great ! With the band of The Who's calibre, an enviable problem is too narrow down the set list from among a huge song catalogue. For large stadium shows, the set list is understandably heavily skewed toward the "radio hits". While this is great - many lesser known songs don't get a chance to shine for the hard core Who fans. Roger's current tour remedies this very well. Roger was in a great mood - sound quality was good, and for a casino show it was bonus length - roughly 2 hours vs usual 90 minute casino show. Any Who fan should make sure they catch this if they can - you won't be disappointed. Here's hoping for many more years of live concerts from the boys !!!

    Not very engaging

by Anonymous on 2017-11-09The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

A life long fan of the Who; I've seen Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend in a large stadium theatre previously. Watching Roger at a smaller venue was underwhelming. He is not very engaging with the crowd, just tended to ignore the crowd during the performance. I know this style works in a stadium, but it seemed disingenuous in a smaller venue. The multiple technical glitches causing a 5 minute delay for the last song, as well as having to restart the iconic 'Baba O'Riley' was also detrimental to the performance.

It was an awesome concert. I would recommend this kind of event in the future. I'm happy that when they changed the set up they made sure our seats were comparable.

I won't get fooled again by this show!

by AH1974 on 2011-11-09Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - Vancouver

Great show! Lotta energy! Still looking good, w shirt unbuttoned and all! Wish he had've done Won't Get Fooled Again and Squeeze Box and I cant explain, but did do Who Are You, My Generation, Pinball Wizard, Kids are allright, I can see for Miles, and his best, Baba O'Reilly! Maybe Won't Get fooled is tough song, as didn't do it last time at Commodore in Oct 2009 either! Hope he does it next time! other than that, high energy show, most good songs, too bad more people didn't come!

    Outstanding

by Seeker on 2011-11-07Scotiabank Saddledome - Calgary

That voice may not echo through the fields of Woodstock and the Isle of Wight like it once did, but whose does 40 years on? Still a powerful performance by one of music's all time greats.
