    Courtney Love still rocks

    by melis84 on 2010-07-11Sound Academy - Toronto

I would give 5 stars if she wasn't so late getting on stage. But once she started, she rocked the venue. Hole played all the hits from the 90s and several covers from artists from Leonard Cohen to Nine Inch Nails. They did a great encore, too. So glad I made it out to see Hole. A woman threw her bra on stage and Courtney joked "only 1? we don't take requests til we have 10 bras". She had 30 - 40 bras thrown on stage during the next 2 songs which she picked up in fistfuls and hung on her mic stand.

Courtney killed it - in fantastic form last night

by Longshot on 2010-07-11Sound Academy - Toronto

I went in thinking it could be a train wreck and came out thinking it was one of the best gigs of 2010. Courtney sounded fantastic, had all the angst I've come to love about her, was playful with the crowd and delivered every song I could have hoped for. No one should ever underestimate Courtney, she is talented and genius.

    Mind-blowing

    by Kata128 on 2010-07-11Sound Academy - Toronto

When getting myself mentally prepared for this concert, I knew for sure it would be memorable... but not to this extent. I felt overwhelmed when she started, and I knew this would be a memorable show for all the RIGHT reasons. Courtney was 100% on, both musically and mentally. She killed every song... and was still Courtney. No questionable actions on her part... which was in a WAY disappointing, but also made the concert that much better. As a slightly younger fan who never got to witness Hole during the Live Through This/ Pretty on the Inside era, it was a dream come true seeing her play music from EVERY album. Kudos Courtney, hope to see you many more times on stage.

Courtney Love at Sound Academy in Toronto 2010

by MarkBlair on 2010-07-11Sound Academy - Toronto

Great turn-out considering last 2 albums kind of bombed. Not sure if sold-out, but pretty close. Her voice is shot from too many cigarettes and singing style. Show for the fans, not for promoting latest album. Nice mixture of greatest hits, interesting covers. She looks amazing! Especially for 46. In great shape. NOT a good anti-drug advertisement! Really mellowed, matured, dignified, comes across as a much nicer person than the younger Courtney. Nice interaction with the crowd, nice pacing to the show, nice length, not flashy at all. She proves our (her loving fans) faith in Courtney wasn't misplaced.

    Hole concert Toronto, Sound Academy

by FrolFrodo on 2010-07-11Sound Academy - Toronto

After all gossips of any nature., Cortney still rocks and performance is good. The crowd was there mixed and slow, to the point i start thinking that only few people actually know what they come for. V.I.P. tickets was kind of scam: security guards push me out to the regular folks line without even checking my ticket, NO FREE parking (even that was claimed on some of V.I.P tickets), at retailer we received free limited edition poster, not even signed by band members. Cortney did not come out to us. So no exceptional photos ever. Once you in security make no preferencde to general folks and VIP card was just showing that you another "wise" guy how spent $50 more for nothing

    She's Still Got It

by Agee on 2010-05-10Terminal 5 - New York

Courtney was amazing and its hard to believe she's still able to play songs like violet and celebrity skin and pull it off. The setlist was short and sure it would have been nice if she interacted with the audience more but the show was still stunning none the less. Do not go if you planning on seeing the same courtney you saw in 95 or 99 because you will not get that... Wish Hole still had its original members but the band was still pretty tight and lets face it, we're all really there just to see courtney right?
