    Awesome venue + show

by CBB Fan on 2019-09-23Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Toronto

Great experience from start to finish! Everything seemed extremely organized and professional. Got to skip the line at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre by just showing my Virgin Mobile phone. The theatre itself is perfect for an event like this - not a bad seat in the house! They started pretty much exactly on time and did a great 90 minute set. Non-stop laughs!! Would 100% recommend everyone go to Comedy Bang Bang, or any JFL show- they never disappoint!

    Great show!

by BBG on 2019-09-22Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Toronto

Saw Roy Wood Jr. and he was absolutely hilarious! Can't remember when I've laughed that hard. Only drawbacks were the unfunny and offensive opening act (Hoodo Hersi) and the venue, however that did not detract from how great Roy was! Great show!

    Amazing and hilarious

by Mbts on 2019-09-22Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

This is the 4th year we have gone to JFL42. This year was by far the best lineup we have seen - headliners and 42.

Marc Maron opened the Lizard Portal!!!

by adore on 2019-09-22Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

Saw Marc on Thursday. I was expecting good things, but this was beyond good. It was dark, devastating, hilarious, apocalyptic... soberly defeatist while still highly, highly entertaining. Exactly what the doctor ordered. I loved it. And him. Thank you Marc for making me feel less alone while the sky turns to fire. Not sure any comedy show will ever be able to compete with this. You might have just wrecked everything else for me.

    Marc Maron @ JFL42

by Steph on 2019-09-22Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

Saw Marc Maron at the Just For Laughs festival and he did not disappoint. His opener was hilarious too. Sadly, I cannot remember her name at the moment. The show was right on-time and his set was great. If you ever have an opportunity to see Mr. Maron perform, I say go!! You will laugh lots and have a fun night.

    Great view - terrible sound

by RyeGuy on 2019-09-22Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

Was at the JVN show and sitting up top and could barely hear him!! Was great viewing but the sound could of been a tad louder. Really liking JFL so far - can’t wait for the shows this week.

    Fun experience

by Shannon on 2019-09-22Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

The show was fun and the 2 comedians were hilarious however JVN wasn’t overly funny. Entertaining but I wouldn’t say laugh out loud funny which you would expect from Just for Laughs.

Marc Maron At The Meridian #JFL42

by AmyP on 2019-09-22Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

Marc Maron was excellent. He brought his usual self-deprecating style of humour and doomsdays concerns to the Great White North. Overall, the show was engaging and fun for fans familiar with his brand or new to his comedy. My only criticism was his end bit. It felt extreme in tone, compared to the rest of the show, and it really wasn't funny. It was an unfortunate finish to an otherwise great set.

    Ok

by Roger on 2019-09-22Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

Always fun to see Marc Maron. He was funny, although seemed to be trying too hard by the end. Was a little forced. Tickets were more expensive than this was worth. But overall a fun night.

Same show as two years ago

by Chauchey on 2018-10-14Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

The last 20 minutes for sure were verbatim of the last time he was here for JFL two years ago. How about some new material?

    Ghetto_Mathie

by Father4 on 2018-10-06Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

The opener was funny. Ken Jeong was funny for the first half of the show. I think he repeated a lot of his zingers (wife's last name is Ho) and was kind of surprised to see him coming off as sentimental with real life stories about who inspired him, etc. All in all worth it as a new experience, but I wasn't keeling over laughing non-stop, as I anticipated to do,.

Good seats and good venue for stand up comedy!

by Luckyiam on 2018-10-05Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

I was fairly happy with everything about the experience as the seats were nice and comfortable and the laughs were good too. Although Jeselnik is being repetitive lately with mostly morbid and death jokes.

    JFL42 was incredible!

by unbelievablydoomed on 2018-10-02Venue TBA - Toronto

I'm sure I'm not the only person who will come right out and say that this year's lineup was amazing! I got to see over a dozen comedians and was impressed by every single one of them. Thank you so much Toronto!
