About

Kid Cudi, born Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, is a Grammy-winning hip-hop artist, producer and actor. The Cleveland, Ohio native released his influential debut mixtape A Kid Named Cudi in 2008, led by his breakout single “Day 'n' Nite,” which reached No. 3 on the Hot 100 and has gone on to receive eight RIAA platinum certifications. The single was re-issued ahead of Cudi’s 2009 debut album Man on the Moon: The End of Day, kicking off a streak of five consecutive Top 5 releases on the Billboard 200, including 2010’s Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager and 2013’s Indicud. With 2020’s Man on the Moon III: The Chosen, Cudi tied his career-peak at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and earned his fourth No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. In 2023, Kid Cudi co-created and starred in the Emmy-winning animated special Entergalactic, and in 2024 he unveiled his ninth and tenth albums, Insano and Insano (Nitro Mega), released just over one month apart.

Kid Cudi is a great performer. Very entertaining show. Venue sound and equipment was not the best, but not exactly the worst. Great set list.

He was drunk, he free-styled, played a great mix of old and new songs, and was really connect with all his fans. Plus the Commodore is the best venue.

    kid cudi was a mess

    by jacko744 on 2009-12-10Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

I love goin to live shows. The Commodore is the best venue in the city for hip hop shows and I was really excited to see kid cudi wed dec 9, 2009. it turned out to be a horrible "show" and no talent shown in his performance at all. he announced multiple times how drunk he was. he was lip singing and would stop randomly and dance around to his own recorded voice. i really like kid cudi's music, however i was so bored by his display of drunkess that i left before the show even ended (as did many other people). i feel bad for him, it was embarrasing! boom box who opended for him put on a great show! i have never heard of them before, but they were hype and put full effort in to their performance !!

    Absolutely Amazing!!!

by SPORTSTAR on 2009-12-10Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Kid Cudi knows how to treat his fans. This show was incredible. He played a good set of tracks, and interacted with the audience through out the entire set. It was full of energy. Cudi is the best and so are his fans. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Thank you Kid for probably the best show I've ever seen!!

This show had amazing energy, and he joked around and interacted with the crowd. True performer, not just a musician who decided to do some stuff live. Loved it.

    Cudder was ill!

by WannaJean on 2009-11-30Kool Haus - Toronto

Kid Cudi was an amazing perfomer. He brought energy to the crowd and embraced everyone. He seems like a real people-person. Despite being nearly 2 hours late, due to other bookings/venues, I would still suggest this too anyone and everyone, who likes to have a good time. He even brought out Canadian sensation, Drake! :)

Kid Cudi was great but performance can be better!

by annonymousME on 2009-11-30Kool Haus - Toronto

Besides waiting for 2 hours, and all the technical difficulties, Kid Cudi is an amazing performer, lots of personality and his music is great. There could have been a better ending or goodbye rather then "Ok thats the last song, I'm out". Other than that, overall a great event for me since it was my first time seeing Cudi live, but for others who have already seen him say in New York or something might have been disappointed.

Kid Cudi is an amzing artist however his performance suffered. He tried to perform the same way Kanya performs which is make his performance into a story or journey be rapping and talking in the middle of his songs however he did not come close to Kanya's performance. The audience was restless, he was unable to keep the audience engaged and he and his DJ were not on the same page. I also wished he performed "Mouie Wowie". A couple of times the audience actually booed. My advice to Kid Cudi is take some performing lessons from Kanya. On a good note, Cudi 's voice is amazing, he is a amazing rapper and his lyricis really hit the soft spot. I am still your Number 1 fan Cudi.

    Disrespectful...Late...Drunk

by Svec on 2009-11-30Kool Haus - Toronto

Kid Cudi was supposed to perform at the Lady Gaga concert at 7:30pm and perform at KoolHaus at 11:00pm. My friend was at the Lady Gaga concert and sent me a text at 11:45pm saying that kid cudi was still there. The show immediately started off terrible, as Cudi missed his intro beat, stopped the song, blamed the DJ, and then re-started. A few songs in, and Cudi was noticeably drunk and even said "I need to do this drunk". The crowd then waited 5 minutes for him to down a Redbull Vodka. Kid Cudi turned his back to the audience to rap into the camera and sang "Day and Night" in a mocking tone, I suppose he was sick of the song, so he made it into a joke. It was terrible

Cudi was amazing - waiting over an hour was not.

by edot on 2009-11-30Kool Haus - Toronto

So the opener for Kid Cudi was pretty good. However there was an hour and 45 minute break in between the opener finishing and Cudi coming on. His guest was Drake, who was amazing and should have sang more than one song. Cudi has some good music though. Thats what kept me there. I was also shocked to see that it was such a young crowd - a 19 + event would have been lovely.

    cudi fudi

by AverageJoe on 2009-11-30Kool Haus - Toronto

An hour late? DJ spins the same instrumental version I can buy at the record store for Cudi to rap over? For a guy with an amazing debut album, this show was perfectly average, and boringly safe. As a bonus, they couldn't find my jacket at Kool Haus coat check when the whole thing was over...

    IT WAS DOPE!

by dopegirlfresh on 2009-11-29Kool Haus - Toronto

It was a dope night! A lot of fun but it would have been unforgettable if it was a 19 plus event! Didn't like how majority of the crowd was under age. But it was still good and Key 'N w Krates was AMAZING!

    Amazing.

by JustOneZiGGy on 2009-11-29Kool Haus - Toronto

Honestly... The opening band was sick, im listening to their songs right now. And the 1hr wait? who cares it was worth it because it was so live. Every song was ridiculous and the fact that he played tracks from the first mixtape made it one, if not the best concerts I've been to this year, the true fans would have appreciated it. I would recommend going to any show this man throws!
