About

Kid Cudi, born Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, is a Grammy-winning hip-hop artist, producer and actor. The Cleveland, Ohio native released his influential debut mixtape A Kid Named Cudi in 2008, led by his breakout single “Day 'n' Nite,” which reached No. 3 on the Hot 100 and has gone on to receive eight RIAA platinum certifications. The single was re-issued ahead of Cudi’s 2009 debut album Man on the Moon: The End of Day, kicking off a streak of five consecutive Top 5 releases on the Billboard 200, including 2010’s Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager and 2013’s Indicud. With 2020’s Man on the Moon III: The Chosen, Cudi tied his career-peak at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and earned his fourth No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. In 2023, Kid Cudi co-created and starred in the Emmy-winning animated special Entergalactic, and in 2024 he unveiled his ninth and tenth albums, Insano and Insano (Nitro Mega), released just over one month apart.

Honestly he was worth the wait. He's very into his performance and his fans. I would watch it over again, and again.

    Kid a little disappointed

by jchellak on 2009-11-29Kool Haus - Toronto

my friends and I are huge fans of kid cudi, love his music, love his lyrics, love the production. The music was probably the only thing we enjoyed about the performance. he came on about 2 hours late, his set list was pretty disorganized, and having Drake as a guest star is almost next to meaningless because they didn't do a song together. Also, having a famous freestyle defeats the point of free-styling. You're not supposed to memorize your free style before you get on stage, that defeats the point. If you like the music, i recommend it, but only if you're a hardcore fan. Don't try and do two performances in one night.

    Meh

by Morton on 2009-11-29Kool Haus - Toronto

It's not that Cudi himself was bad. The show just wasn't very good. Not only was he an hour late without any explanation, there were really awkward pauses between songs where I wondered if he had walked away. He didn't really offer anything different from the album. Overall, it was kind of disappointing. He's a really talented artist but if he wants to retain fans and get bigger, he's got to offer something more than just showing up (an hour late).

It was a dope concert once he got there but the couple hour wait was a major buzz kill.

The Kid was amazing. He knows how to interact with the crowd, he performs with passion and has the most contagious smile.

    TOO LONG OF A WAIT

    by Smokey33 on 2009-11-29Kool Haus - Toronto

Cudi didn't make an appearance at kool haus until past midnight, after opening for GaGa who was at the ACC. Apparently this was because he encored and encored for her concert and ended up neglecting his own. This is frustrating because you would think Cudi's loyalty would lie with his true fans and not with the bigger venue. Despite this though we he did show the concert was pretty unreal, I just wish he encored for us like he did for Lady GaGa's crowd. My two cents

    Kid Cuddi

by ajtoronto on 2009-11-29Kool Haus - Toronto

Started late. Paused for way too long in between songs. Did not seem too interested to be in Toronto. No encore. I think he could have done a lot more with the concert since he has some great music!

Amazing show, could have done without the hour and a half wait but he was worth every second.
