" The Hell Not Hallelujah Tour"
Marilyn Manson definitely has the Music, the show, the entertainment factor and a huge fan base to sell out a show. Vancouver is no exception. It was Halloween in March as many were in their best Gothic look.
The show was all about Marilyn and his new Album too. "The Pale Emperor & The Hell Not"
His new music, A mix of Rock, Blues Alternative, Grunge and Metal we would say. All Marilyn Manson! From his old hits to the new ones, it was a very entertaining Visual effects event. The lighting was vibrant with dark colours, strobes and bright flashes. A lot of fog made for that gothic atmosphere. Many pictures turned out almost black and white but with traces of colour.
We all waited for the hits, 'Dope Show' 'The Beautiful People' and the Covers ' Personal Jesus' and ' Sweet Dreams' His many looks during the show added to the performance's fun. It looked like he was slowly getting more make-up on as the show progressed. Different coats, hats and stage props always adds to the effect.
The whole of the Queen Elizabeth Theatre were on their feet to the end. There was only one Encore Song, 'Coma White' with snow effects being sprinkled down from the rafters in the fog and cool lighting. It ended about 10:05pm. The show was almost two hours.
It was a very entertaining evening although he music where we were sitting didn't sound all the best in our opinion, but it was Marilyn Manson and it could have been the effect he was looking for. You just never know these days! You really needed to be further back too, to enjoy all the special effects.
Great to see Marilyn is still Rocking and selling out shows!
