A memorable night with two dysfunctional families

    by Kelly Kelly on 2023-10-18

A friend and and I saw this incredible unforgettable production in Toronto a number of years ago. From the moment Tony and groomsmen arrived in the bar area greeting all of us ( wedding guests) it was hilarious. It just kept getting better. The nun was especially humourous ! Every person in the show had his or her own special connection to the newly weds. The food was delicious. The band had everybody dancing and I have talked about that evening for many years. I have searched in many places to see the production again. If it was on in almost any accessible City,I would take a trip there just to see this again.

    The best show in town!

by BrianWalsh on 2013-12-19The Wedding Pavilion - Calgary, Alberta

I know this review is long overdue but I've been to busy to write one until today... My wife, another couple and I went to Tony N Tina's at the beginning of December because she heard about it and wanted to go. What the wife wants the wife gets (I told this to Tony) but I was quite skeptical going in because I thought it was going to be some low quality dinner theatre show with terrible acting, boring plot and bad food. Man was I wrong...about the acting and the plot! Since we arrived the characters kept us all entertained throughout the evening. Every character had their own persona and interact with the "guests" all night with a lot of humor and characterization. My favorite was drunk nun, the nerdy bridesmaid and the sleazy groomsman with the crooked face had me on the verge of tears with his pickup lines (to my wife). Come to think of it I wish I wrote some of them down. There was constantly some kind of drama with the bride and groom and their wacky friends and family so needless to say we were very entertained. Add that to great music and dancing and you have a a TON OF FUN!!! Highly recommend you go see this show! Brian K.

    Non-Stop Laughs!!!

by Supercop on 2013-12-10The Wedding Pavillion - Calgary

We chose something unique and outside of the box pushing the limits of ourselves on one of our first dates. We came into it with a positive attitude and looked forward to being a part of a great night and excellent wedding. If you go in there with that attitude you will laugh all night long. The craziness of what's going on all over the place never ends. The characters will be so in character you forget your watching a show totally. This will be what you make if it and any bad reviews here are from stick in the mud boring people with bad attitudes in my opinion. If you can't interact with others and try to open your mind this wont be for you. But we had a blast from start to finish! The only thing that wasn't outstanding is the food, which was mediocre. Not terrible, but did expect it to be better. However your so preoccupied you would hardly notice eating. A memorable night of laughs, excellent acting, good times were had by most everyone. Thank you for a fantastic night out and a great way to meet some new people.

Lots of fun, great cast and good music. I would have liked for the dance to go on later after the "play". Otherwise was great.

    TNT was da bomb

by Ellco on 2013-12-02The Wedding Pavillion - Calgary

While Tony and Tina enjoy their honeymoon, the rest of us enjoy the Calgary blizzard. My work group thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Tony and Tina have some pretty amazing friends.

    A fun, fun, fun evening!

by CheetaJoe on 2013-11-27The Wedding Pavillion - Calgary

This is a high energy, super fun show! Every detail was thought of and it was absolutely outstanding. Great movement, story and food. The ice is broken very quickly, and people are instantly drawn into the fun. If we would have known more about what to expect, we would dressed up (big hair, little dresses, snazzy sweat suits with dress shoes, gold chains and lots of gum!) and would have even brought a spoofy present for Tony and Tina. I would have brought my camera as well. This is fun as a date, or with a group. The cast is super well rehearsed and supported each other. The whole cast was terrific, but the female wedding singer is oober talented and the bride's brother really shone. The chicken dance, a congo line, dancing with the bride and groom...I have not been to a wedding that good in a long time! Dinner was much better than I had expected. The drinks are a bit expensive, but considering it is out by Canada Olympic Park, it is probably the best.

    Great fun and very entertaining

by CalgaryMay112010 on 2013-11-26The Wedding Pavillion - Calgary

We ordered tickets early when they came on sale and had a perfect view of the dance floor\stage and the head table. We also were seated with 3 of the most colourful characters - father of the groom and his stripper girlfirend and the Nona. It was like we had our own private show. All actors were very friendly and it was like getting to know people at a wedding but much more crasy. Highly recommend.

Tony & Tina's Wedding was hilarious!

by MarM123456 on 2013-11-26The Wedding Pavillion - Calgary

I felt I was attending a real wedding right from entering the Wedding Pavillion...it was beautiful! Continuous entertainment from the wedding party ensured lots of laughs from all the drama! Every character engaged every table and no one at my table was ever bored. All the actors were phenomenal and always in character. The singing was fabulous and the music was typical fun wedding fare with lots of sing-a-long tunes. The food was hot and tasty and much better than was expected. All in all we had a great night! Highly recommended!

    Most fun night ever!!

by cerisette on 2013-11-26The Wedding Pavillion - Calgary

I saw Tony and Tina's wedding the first time in Vegas and I had so much fun. I was glad when I saw they were here in Calgary so I went last year and again this year and probably will go back next year. Personally I think this show is better than the Vegas one. We brought some friends of ours and they said that they'll be back next year as well. Loved it, loved it ,loved it!!!

    Great Show...Awful Food

by Worthbee on 2013-11-25The Wedding Pavillion - Calgary

The show is a rip roaring Italian wedding full of laughable family drama & dysfunction. The actors strive to make you a part of the action and if you get into it it's a barrel of laughs! Have fun with it and let your inner actor shine! The food on the other hand was terrible...worse than any wedding food I've ever encountered. The only wine available was some Canadian wine I had never heard of before and I know why...awful, awful, awful. Stick to your basic highballs, sodas, or water for this evening.
