Fabulous
Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary
The production of Hansel and Gretel was fantastic. A modern yet familiar take on the story line. Excellent talent and performance.

Fantastic.
Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary
Dancers were absolutely incredible and the story was amazing. Very worth it. The only downside was the people sitting next to me who continued to talk and would take me out of the story each time. Please remember to not bring young children who are not capable of sitting quietly for an extended period of time as it is rude to those around you. Especially to an evening performance.

The show was great but...
Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary
The show was great but the chosen location (Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium) for the ballet is not good. Instead of enjoying the show, I enjoyed the view of the head of the person sitting in front of me. I have never had such kind of problem in a movie theatre, Jack Singer Concert Hall or Max Bell Theatre.

great dancing, white washed the second act
Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary
I love going to see the Nutcracker and have been for years now. However, since last year they have taken out many of the great dances based of off the Spanish, Arabian, Chinese and French and turned them into dances of people in white costumes dancing around to the same music no longer showcasing the different nationalities. It's incredibly sad to watch. Though I will say the dancing of the actors was great this year, I really hope they bring back the international dances in 2024.

Disappointed
Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary
Chose to give up my season subscription this year due to the huge bump in prices. Decided to take in the Nutcracker as hadn’t been for over 20 years. Was expecting something fabulous. This however appeared to be an edited version of past ballets with most of the focus on the opening act. The magic of the travels through the different realms was non existent but rather mashed up into one set with Clara merely sitting on the sidelines as an observer. The mice & wolf costumes were wonderful but those of the dancers of the 2nd act were dull & old looking. The ballet has become an expensive undertaking but the quality of the performances of this company has diminished significantly from the past.

New Energy
Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary
We attended the matinee performance of the Nutcracker on Dec. 23rd. There seemed to be a new energy in this years performance. Although we still love the ballerina that portrayed Clara in the last 2 seasons, this years Clara, Nutcracker and Drosselmeyer did a brilliant job, both in their acting and their dancing. All the dancers were exceptional this year and you could feel the energy and excitement on stage. The CPO did their usual brilliant Tchaikovsky performance. A particular "shout out"to the piccolo and flute for their excellent playing. Thank you to all those behind the scenes who make this production happen. Can't wait for next year's ballet.

It was really wonderful. The CPO are incredible and the dancing was jaw-dropping - the little ones were so sweet and the adults were flawless. Such an amazing performance!

First Time Ballet Goer
Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary
It was my first time going to any sort of ballet show and I had an amazing time. Everything was very professional and the Nutcracker was done exactly how I’d have imagined it be done.

Nutcracker Ballet
Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary
I took my granddaughter and we had an amazing time. She participated in the dance class that was put on before the ballet and she loved it and made the Nutcracker more relatable. This is our 3rd year attending and was the best yet. Can’t wait till next year!!!
