The kids absolutely loved being at the theatre and the younger one, who's five, seemed to enjoy the show a lot. The only issue was the audio - it was really difficult to make out what they were saying on stage from the mezzanine. Maybe it was just our seat choice but not being able to make out what was being said on stage did make it more difficult for the older one to stay focused on what was going on.
We were seered in aisle and for the first 15 minutes people were still arriving and they would just stand there blocking our view. There should be attendants seating the latecomers, that may help.
It was a fine show. There is zero need for a lengthy intermission in a one hour show. Seemed like just a merch and drinks grab. And they ran out of popcorn and plain chips, you know the things kids would want. Show started late, lousy for 4 year old patience and then a break in the middle had her asking why why why. I had to agree with that.
Well it was not a perfect 5 for me because the little one (who is the main reason why we have gotten tickets) was looking for other characters, especially mommy pig. We paid a bit of amount for tickets so might as well give us our money’s worth. I know this is a concern not on ticketmaster per se because you only sold the tickets but in one way or another, still right.
In total it was 1 hour of entertainment, and terrible at that. Peppa and all her friends had humans behind them visible controlling them. Kids were disappointed.
too much of the show devoted to Mr Potato, Mr Bull and the fruit character. Would have been much better to devote moe time to the frequently seen characters...Mummy Pig, Granny and Grandpa Pig, Mrs Rabbit, Ms Gazelle, etc. The kids lost interest in the second half and it seems mainly due to so much time spent on infrequent characters and that silly fruit song. Not like an episode of Peppa Pig for sure.
My grandchildren enjoyed the show but it could have been a lot better. Why do children's performers think they have to yell all the time? More characters in costumes, rather than as puppets, would also have been an improvement. The selling of twirly toys in the lobby at $20 each was outrageous. There was no sign giving the price so parents had to line up and then find out the price after their child was about to receive the toy. This type of behaviour is a disgrace and unbecoming of the NAC!
This event was over charged! The characters were puppets which was not advertised and the tea party after was simply a granola bar, box of raisins and some water - all of this for $165 per ticket. How does a child have a tea party with still puppets??? And shouldn't a British tea party include scones????
My son loves peppa pig and we've been to live shows before and he's loved then however he didn't like this one. It's was boring and the characters are more like puppets with people standing behind them pushing them around. They incorporated a lot of songs however none of them are actually from the show so my son had no idea what was going on. These tickets were a lot more expensive than other kids shows and definitely not worth it.
The show was entertaining for kids, it's 1.5 hours with an intermission. I didn't like the fact some of the characters were smaller with actors moving them around on stage, but my 3 kids didn't even notice that! 2 yr old, 3 yr old and a 6 yr old - all loved it, dancing in their seats! Just steep $$$ compared to some shows we've been to.
Although the kids were taken aback for the first 10-15 minutes we did not find there was enough engagement. We ended up going home at intermission. Had the tickets been less the $20 I would have felt we got the value of the event (we paid $200 for a family of four and sat in the 2nd last row of the top balcony -to my knowledge the most cost effective seats) We paid similar for Paw Patrol in Toronto and there was more of a story for the kids to follow along. (And Pom poms for the kids to use)
The performance was well done but the after party was very disappointing. Considering the cost of two tickets was over $230, we had self serve water and granola bars. The decorations were wrinkled and crumbled sheets with Peppa printed on them. The kids had pictures as part of the package and our picture was never posted. Disappointing!
Wonderful show, my whole family enjoyed the performance! Great songs and dancing for little ones. I would definitely take my family again some day :)
Expensive tickets and show was a poorly constructed puppet show. Even my 7 year old wanted to leave at intermission.
Good Show, Should of had all caracters in costumes and walking , rather then stand up puppets with people standing behind them and moving them After party should be better, better snacks would of been nice, party should of had Peppa Pig balloons, rather then just oridinary balloons, music and dance would of been nice, should of allowed 2 pictures, one group picture and one just kids, and the people standing behind Peppa Pig and George should not be in the pictures, For what the price of tickets payed was not worth it, except the kids had a good time
The show was very entertaining for the children it was the perfect amount of time.
I took my two granddaughters to see the Peppa Pig show, seeing their eyes light up when they saw their favourite tv character.
It was ok. To really see it, you needed to have floor seats. Getting tickets was not easy. Called what it said was the box office but spoke to someone in Texas, NOT Toronto.
I wasn't expecting puppets but actual people dressed like Peppa. It lacked a bit of substance as a result. I think it was a bit too pricey for what it was really a puppet show with just larger puppets.
