    Danny Michel

by Dewlicker on 2012-11-15West End Cultural Centre - Winnipeg

Style of his own - connects exceptionally well with the audience. Very entertaining - more than just a singer/musician but great at that too!

    Danny Michel, simply amazing.

by Jenniecamper on 2012-11-15West End Cultural Centre - Winnipeg

I have seen Danny Michel perform 10+ times, and I continue going back because not only is he an amazing artist but he is also a great story teller and his stories always have the audience laughing almost uncontrolably. This past concert was outstanding, concert of the year in my opinion. Although he has a new album out, there was a good balance of old songs to new songs which is always nice for the fans. I don't intend on missing a Danny Michel show, so the next time he is in town, I will be there! A 5 star performence as usual :)

    Awesome as usual!

by SushiGal on 2011-10-05West End Cultural Centre - Winnipeg

Been to several Danny Michel concerts - all amazing. This time I brought my parents along - my dad loves music and playing guitar, but had not heard much of Danny's music. My mum had heard some of his music and wanted to check him out live. In a nutshell we all had a great time! The concert was entertaining in all ways. The music was great and Danny's rapport with his audience was in top form. He makes each show unique and personal - one minute you are laughing so much your face hurts, the next thinking seriously about events and ideas. Thanks Danny for another great concert, from a long time fan, and two new ones!

    Outstanding musician (and entertainer)!

by JohnnyFave on 2011-10-04West End Cultural Centre - Winnipeg

I saw Danny Michel last when he was here last time and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to see him perform again... so I did and enjoyed it just as much. The West End C.C. is a great sounding and intimate venue for a performer such as Danny. His performance consists of a good catalog of songs combined with his guitar style, lyrics, and of course the spontaneous lyrics and antics too - overall making it a really interesting and entertaining mix. The obvious and underlying messages in the lyrics and songwriting are tender, insightful, and as well philosophical plus incredibly clever. Hey Danny, keep on writing and performing for as long as you're still having fun (you sure look like you enjoy entertaining) cuz you're a real Canadian gem! :) I took my 23 year old daughter, and the 1st thing she talked about after the show was about purchasing some of Danny's music on iTunes - Danny instantly gained a new fan!

    Was Better Last 2 Times!

by Lavezula on 2011-10-03West End Cultural Centre - Winnipeg

Same old tired setlist with little deviation. Should have collected money for Ocean Academy at venue as I would've donated (in addition to what I've already donated online). Overall alright, but much better when I saw him last year.

    Should be a superstar!

by LJ1968 on 2011-03-06Myer Horowitz Theatre - Edmonton

There is no one else quite like Danny Michel. He's genuine, hilarious, uber-talented and such a pleasure to watch and listen to. I've seen him perform many times before but this time I brought along a friend who'd only heard him on CD. After seeing him live however, she just sat there with her jaw on the floor, and now she's a fan for life. He is probably the most under-appreciated musician within our borders and out, and deserves superstardom because he kicks most of the current, popular singer-songwriters anywhere in Canada or the US right out of the water on all fronts.

    danny michel

by marcl on 2011-03-05Myer Horowitz Theatre - Edmonton

danny michel was once again brillant despite a few technical problems. His humour and wit made the small musical glitches minor and his great songs and lyrics made for a great evening.

Danny always puts on an amazing show. He's very personal and actually talks to the audience not just asks how it's going like most performers.

    Danny Michel is fantastic

by marsmusic on 2010-09-26Arden Theatre - St Albert

He came by himself and was constantly entertaining and took fime after the show to talk to anyone who wished to talk to him. His show was fun and light and serious all at the same time. I would love to see him with some of the other acts he produces. A good rockin' band would make for a great party of a concert. This is a very talented artist.

    Danny Michel

by DmarksD on 2010-09-26Arden Theatre - St Albert

I have seen Danny Michel play numerous times over the years...always a great performer. My beef was the 20 minutes of sales-pitch and video before the show started. This in turn meant a very short show...too short for the money. Next time the Arden should keep it's advertising to the website.

    Great Show Horrible Venue

by Matt on 2010-09-26Arden Theatre - St Albert

Danny is an amazing performer. He has so much personality on stage he makes you feel like he is in your living room playing for you. His setlist was a great mix of old and new. The only downside to this show was the venue. The crowd was very old, there was no opener, and the show was very short. He started at eight and they kicked him out at nine.

    Danny Michel rocks.

by bluehaze on 2009-12-26West End Cultural Centre - Winnipeg

If you ever get a chance to see Danny Michel live, by all means do it! The venue was the West End Cultural Centre in Winnipeg, which is a fairly small, intimate venue. Danny is a very experienced live performer, and comes across as humble, approachable, thoughtful, and of course (last but certainly not least) an excellent musician. He manages to sing about about some pretty serious issues while still maintaining a uniquely informal stage presence. Overall, it was one of the best live performances I've seen!
