I've seen everyone over the years. When a friend asked who was the best act I've seen in recent years, hands down Gowan. True entertainment with somebody who looks like they are having fun with tons of energy and not just rehashing old tunes like some many acts today. It's no wonder Styx scooped him up.
All I can say is wow! The show was amazing. I saw Larry Gowan in the 80s and he was just as good in 2023. Many artists lose their lustre after years but not this guy. What a great evening!
Larry put on a great show that lasted the better part of 2 full hours. I've been to see other acts whose idea of a show was 50 minutes to just over an hour. Wonderful backstories behind the music & great songs what more could you ask for??!! Gowan TOTALLY delivered and I rarely if ever use the term "totally" so you know it had to be good. We - the wife, well girlfriend then, and I - saw him back in '87 at the Centennial Concert Hall and we loved him then and we loved him now.
Larry sounded great, and his band never missed a note. My personal favourite song Cosmetics started the show, and for me, it just went up from there. It's great that his band is both family and friends. I thought I was a decent Gowan fan, but I am surprised that some of the tunes I hear on the radio are his! Obviously I have some albums to buy yet. Do they still have record shops?
A long overdue return to Winnipeg by the Strange Animal himself! I've missed his solo shows since he joined Styx and was glad for the opportunity to go with friends. He can still hit all the notes and puts on a show with amazing energy!
I love being in the pit, even at 50 something. I'm glad my legs and body can still do that! I feel more involved in the show than just sitting. I would love to see garbage/recycling bins on the floor so people can throw out their beverage cups. they often look around for one and when they can't find one they toss it on the floor.
This concert blew me away. I’ve seen hundreds of concerts but Wow Gowan! His voice is the exact same and his charisma is amazing. He is a true entertainer, telling jokes and interacting with the audience like a pro. Don’t hesitate buy the tickets! You will not be disappointed.

Gowan put on an awesome show, such enthusiasm and talent! You could tell he had fun! Acoustics, lights and venue are one of the best!
