Great way to spend New Years Eve! Enjoyed him taking on a Manitoba Ambassador role making it very relate-able. Sang all the great songs, but his voice isn’t always as strong.
The guitar work was fabulous from both the opening band and Tom Cochrane and Red Rider! His vocals aren’t what they used to be but still we thought it was great!
Opening act was 1.5 hours long. Too long. She was good, but never really heard of her except for when she sings the anthem at Bomber games. Spent the time/ money to see Tom Cochrane...not her. Tom and his band were awesome, but Toms having some voice issues. His style of singing is obviously hard on the throat, but love the guy and they rocked!
Music was great, but Tom's vocals were less crisp than those in his younger years.
Great concert at club regent New Year’s Eve! Jenerator and Tom Cochrane were excellent, could have played all night.
Show was great, but the flashing lights at times was a bit much........musid was great but at times hard to hear Tom Cochrane's voice.....
Tom seemed to be fighting through a cold or something but pushed through. This concert was cancelled last New Years Eve so I'm sure he wanted to perform. Jennifer Hanson was an outstanding opening act and and did all kinds of Classic Rock with her Sash Jordan gravely voice.
Tom Cochrane really struggled that night. 😞 I am sure I am not alone in this feeling.
Jennifer Hanson, the opening act for N.Y.E., was fabulous! She put on a great performance. I could have listened to her longer! Sorry to be a "Debbie Downer" but Tom Cochrane was awful. At first I thought he was drunk or stoned. He came on stage and didn't say a word, just started singing. He was muffled, at times seemed to be spastic with his stage movements, and just couldn't sing like he used to. We didn't even stay for the encore. He should retire. People sitting behind us talked the entire show. We asked them, very politely, to be quiet, but that didn't help. One of them was bumping my husband's seat in an effort to keep the beat. Very annoying. The staff at Club Regant were excellent. I liked what they wore so one could easily spot them. Very professional.
Lead vocals were lacking and sometimes non-existent. Could’ve been amazing if he had background singers to cover the high parts. Great songs but left unfulfilled.
