Collective Soul was terrific! So many songs include the audience and the instrument players were great! I wish I had purchased seats closer to the stage as the same level seating makes it hard to see behind tall people but we stood and danced instead. 3 Doors Down sounds very similar to their cd's except the lead singer does not engage the audience enough.
We didn't stick around for 3 Doors Down as we came specifically to see Collective Soul. As usual, they played with amazing energy and their trademark set list that includes all of the hits. Despite touring with a new album, they kept new material to only 2 songs and then the rest of the show was the songs everyone came to see and hear. Other groups could learn from these guys, they play what their paying audience wants rather than what they feel like themselves on a given night.
