311 was ok... offspring rocked they should of closed the show
Offspring had a good set but 311 stole the show for sure!
Great show. Offspring stole it a bit but 311 is still doing a great job with fun and upbeat performances.
Who is 311? Everyone wanted to see offspring and they were only on for an hour. I paid $25 for parking and was in and out of there within 2 hours.
To start Gymclass Heros were very entertaining. Then The Offspring took the house down, then 311 was up and 2/3 of the crowd left. Wow did they miss out. Seeing 311 was an unforgettable experience, loved the whole band drum show they put on.
311 was amazing, as always. It had been so long since they had played toronto, so it was nice not having to fly or drive to the states to see them.
I came there for the offspring and thats the only band i saw. They kicked ass. Did an amazing job. Good showmanship for a bunch of geezers. I took lots of pics and am in the process of showing em off!!
Looked up opening band and didn't even bother to show up until The Offspring started and left four songs into 311. Not sure why the Offspring were billed with these bands and neither did most of the crowd as 1/2 left after Offspring and most were gone before 311 finished. Nothing against 311 but The Offspring obviously should have been the main headliner. Must suck for 311 playing for an almost empty house watching people walk out while they are playing after the entire crowd was insanely hyped and singing to ever Offspring song. There are literally 100's of PUNK bands that would have made for a way better show. Last buy your shirts or merch early as when we tried after The Offspring finished they had nothing left but XL's
Off the wall AMAZING!!! The show and the energy were INSANELY good!! 311 rocked HARD, and they sounded amazing!! Played all the favourites and it was more than I could have imagined!! AMAZING!!
What can I say, 311 puts on an amazing show! MTELUS is one of the best, if not the best l, venue for shows in montreal. Unfortunately not enough people to open the balcony so it was standing only, but 311 is totally worth it. Love the fact that they took the time to see some of their fans after the show. All in all great concert!
I've probably seen 311 about 10 to 15 times since 1997. The reason? One of the best live bands in music today. As time goes on their musicianship grows. Expect a high energy "trippy" experience ...311 fans are generally positive and friendly people. The show I saw in Lewiston NY at Art Park was a bit odd as it was very close to my home town,Art Parks venue has a lot of rules with regards to when bands can go on and the level of volume. 311 came on earlier and the volume was turned down thanks to homes being Just 300 yards away from the stage. 311 was high energy and sounded better then ever. There is nobody in the biz that can harmonize better then SA Martinez & Nick Hexum. P-nut on the bass , may be one of the best bass gods in da biz.. Chad Sextonon the drums more technically sound then ever...Tim Mahoney on guitar....with his addictive melodic grooves is so infectious. I am looking forward to seeing 311 north of the border in Toronto, Canada this summer at Budweiser Stage.
What a show. this two day event was amazing. Best time of my life.
Went to the show on friday. Doors opened at 6 pm. Del Mar played 3 songs, and sublime were done by 7 pm..... big disappointment considering sublime with rome was the reason i went to the show. The set was way to short. Seen em last year at the same venue and they played for 1:30 +.
I've seen 311 at least 8 times and this was one of the best shows i have ever seen...It was great to see Sublime out there rockin agaoin after all these years....Go see this Show!
Saw these guys with Slightly Stoopid and it was good. Great bands to play together similar styles and chronic in common. At least the people in Van think so.
My girlfriend and I had the opportunity to see 311 in Seattle in June '09 and it was AWESOME! We were both excited to hear that they were playing a show in Vancouver. I'm not sure what happened between June and March but the sound went from being perfectly balanced in Seattle, to being WAY too heavy on the low end, distorting all of the other instruments and making the vocals indiscernible. The Wailer's had really good sound, so what happened to the headliner? As a die-hard, old-school fan I love these guys no matter what, but as a real fan who's seen them more than a couple times I'm a little embarrassed for other lovers of this music. I'm not sure they made any new fans last night. There was some good energy there, but given the bad sound quality I feel this show was worth more like 25$, not 50$....
Horrible. Payed way too much to watch a high school band. Didn't even play the hits. I see a lot of live performances in a year, and this was by far the worst in about 3 years.
I enjoyed the show, very interesting. The music was tight and the vocals were unusual. I am not a huge 311 fan but they sent me home happy.
I went to the concert for Ziggy Marley and I thought I would leave after his set was done because I had never heard of 311. But once the show started it was hard to stop loving it! Their reggae rock vibe is amazing and they sounded even better live than they did on their cd (that I got after I went to the show). The feeling of the crowd was great, they were there to have fun but not to get extremley rowdy and since I went there for a reggae show, getting the rock show in addition was unimaginable. Crowd surfing is sick.
All three acts brought something to the table - clearly 311 was the best part of the show, but Ziggy Marley and The Expendables both added to the experience - 311 played a great setlist and really cool venue - my only complaint was that they weren't allowing digital cameras inside, otherwise one of the best shows I have ever been to
