CARLOS VIVES IN CONCERT:
Colombian actor and singer Carlos Vives is as renowned for his charismatic persona on stage as he is for his music. Following an 8-year hiatus, it’s no surprise that fans worldwide clamored for tickets when Vives returned to the concert stage for his 2013 Corazón Profundo world tour. Lucky for all, VIves proved himself the same energetic performer fans have come to love, prompting additional tour dates for 2014.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
“Carlos Vives was energetic and very engaging. His performance was awesome and the musicians were outstanding.”
“Carlos Vives’ energy on stage is absolutely contagious!”
“This concert was amazing and unforgettable! Carlos Vives gives you everything. So much energy, beautiful songs and a huge party, basically. I would see him again in a heartbeat.”
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Multiple Latin Grammy Award winner Carlos Vives has sold over 17 million albums, making him one of the most successful Colombian recording artists in history. He first rose to fame playing the role of legendary vallenato composer Rafael Escalona in the 1991 Colombian telenovela Escalona. Soon, Vives' television role turned into reality as he began to release his own brand of vallenato music, invigorating the traditional genre by incorporating touches of rock and pop. Beginning with his 1986 album debut Por Fuera y Por Dentro, Vives would go on to release a string of successful albums in the '80s and '90s, including 1995's chart-topping La Tierra Del Olvido.

We really enjoyed the show and Carlos Vives energy is amazing, everyone was dancing all the time but I have to say the sound was terrible, not sure if was his or the venues' fault.

I was disappointed by the sound system. We could not hear Carlos’ voice and at some points it looked like he was lipsynching.
It is always such a pleasure to attend Carlos Vives concerts! It was good the venue also fine! The sound was not the greatest to be honest it was not fully balanced all the time. And I also thought it could have been a longer concert. Anyway I loved it and had so much fun
Carlos Vives brought his fans a fantastic show, with everything you could ask for and more. If anything could be said for improvement, it was a tad short. The venue, however, wasn't up to the task: bad sound (it was hard to listen to Carlos Vives himself and the choir when the music was at full swing), unstocked washrooms (no soap in one, dryers out of service in another) and the doors opened about half hour before the show was scheduled to start, which inevitably leads to the show starting late (about 8:45, which wasn't really that bad compared to previous events there). 5 stars to Carlos Vives, 3 to the venue, so 4 stars as average.
The expectation and the rush when a concert starts was mainly gone and it felt the concert was long and tiring. We came out late from a short concert...
Great concert ! Great seats. We were up on our feet dancing all night long. Place was electric ! Wonderful evening. Carlos never disappoints........
I think he is amazing as an opening act. Seen him in Toronto and NYC. Main artist , I don ‘t think so. The Latin / Colombian comunity is not so big in Toronto. We expected a full Latin concert , not something that starts early , ends early , no opening acts, not other invited artist. ... Short and Dry .....not a big repertoire. Spotify material .....
Music was wonderful, lights effects everything was pretty good
