About

Heart formed in Seattle, Washington in 1973 and have rocked on through the years under the sibling core of Ann and Nancy Wilson. The group has released 16 studio albums, hitting the Top 10 seven times and topping the Billboard 200 with 1985’s Heart. The band have sold nearly 35 million albums worldwide. Early rock staples such as “Crazy on You,” "Barracuda” and “Magic Man” gave way to greater mainstream success in the ’80s with the group’s first Hot 100 chart-toppers, "These Dreams" in 1986 and "Alone” in 1987. Despite developing their own solo careers after their first hiatus in 1995, the Wilson sisters have reunited as Heart several times. In 2013, Heart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band have received four career Grammy nominations and received The Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.

They still bring the heat! :-)

by Sktzmn on 2016-03-23Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Ann slimmed down again and can still hit the notes & rock the audience. She doesn't sustain the high notes too long, but she can still hit them. Nancy still does a good job (I was angry at the sound engineer for not balancing the sisters mics properly when Nancy sang "These Dreams" - and for a few of Ann's songs too). I would've given 5 stars, but I would've had to adjust their set list (I know, personal preference). Joan Jett was great. I only know a handful of her stuff. She rocked the crowd well and good backing band too. Mandevilles were a great opener for Joan Jett. well done!

Heart left the heart out of this evening.

by Anonymous on 2016-03-23Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Having just seen Heart this summer in Las Vegas I was so looking forward to this concert. In Vegas they put on an awesome show! They played almost all of their big hits, gave the story behind their songs and who influenced their music. They sang songs from these groups and talked about their tours with them. You left there feeling like you got to know them. At the concert in Calgary I felt like they couldn't get off the stage fast enough. It was such an impersonal concert. The only reason I gave an average rating is because the girls can still rock! Their voices sounded amazing and the guitar playing did not disappoint. Joan Jett, on the other hand, gave an amazing performance. I would rate her a 5, and I have never been a big fan of hers.

Great show! Joan Jett was awesome!

by cbh747 on 2016-03-23Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

I actually went to this show because Joan Jett was playing, I have seen Heart before, they are always good, but I try to catch them closer to home. I have never seen anything like this, Joan Jett had people on their feet from start to finish. They were singing, dancing and having a blast! Older Toronto crowds are certainly not prone to this type of behaviour, it was refreshing to see. The set was a mix of old and new, all of it great, topped off with some Crimson and Clover. Heart was good as usual, however, the most memorable moments were definitely provided by Joan Jett. Catch this one if you can, you won't regret it!

    Heart rocks the Sony Centre

by BigGLittleO on 2016-03-23Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Once again Heart comes through with a mixture of great hits mixed in with songs from the upcoming album,Nancy still rocks on guitar with a few solo songs of her own, band was very good and as always,Annie's voice just rocked the Sony Centre, amazing vocals after all these years, couldn't be happier to see the Wilson sisters again for the (let's just say double digits) time.

by pammay on 2016-03-23Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Both Joan Jett and Heart were fantastic. Flawless vocals and incredible talent. One hit after another. Who could ask for more? It was an incredibly enjoyable concert and the venue was loaded with hard core fans of both bands. Would highly recommend this tour.

    Amazing Concert!

by golfer1 on 2016-03-23Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

What a great concert. First of all Sony Centre is great for a concert. Smaller venue, so you feel so close and engaged with the singers. Joan Jett was great but Heart was awesome. Anne Wilson's voice is truly beautiful. You can tell they all love to do what they do. Did not want concert to end. Would love to see them again!!!!

Queens of Sheba - they've still got it!

by PrairieTraveller63 on 2016-03-21SaskTel Centre (Formerly Credit Union Centre) - Saskatoon

Really enjoyed seeing Joan Jett and Heart! They are so talented and obviously pro entertainers. A great nostalgia show. Must note that the sound was not great. SaskTel Centre's acoustics are terrible and the sound is often distorted, especially when it is too loud. Unfortunately Heart's mix was especially muddy for several songs, with only a marginal improvement later on. Unfortunately, it was bad enough to be distracting and such a shame considering the quality of the singers and musicians.

    Heart had heart!

by DMaxC on 2016-03-21SaskTel Centre (Formerly Credit Union Centre) - Saskatoon

The evening was electric. All the ladies (specifically Heart) had phenomenal voices and energy. Throughly enjoyed the evening. Would have liked a few more oldies played but great night.

Joan Jett and Heart were fantastic!

by slashgirl on 2016-03-21MTS Centre - Winnipeg

they both should have played a few more songs, to opening act was a pleasant surprize and would do it again in a heart beat! the only thing I have to say is the sound and lights came on so quick after each, it was actually awkward and I felt i was insulting the performers...

Joan Jett & the Blackhearts were AMAZING!!! Really interacted with the crowd, excellent performer!! Loved her!! Heart was wonderful too!!! Amazing guitar player, and sounds incredible!!! I do wish they sang more old stuff, new stuff is great, but I was familiar. Would definitely go again if either one came back!

Joan jett was amazing, definitely an unforgettable experience. Heart was great but too many covers rather than playing their own music. Did not see the Mandevilles (not sure that's spelt correctly) open as I was in line for merchandise. A third kiosk for merchandise would be amazing.

    Joan Jett

by Chalet on 2016-03-20SaskTel Centre (Formerly Credit Union Centre) - Saskatoon

Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, did not disappoint , they were fantastic, played all my favourite songs ans some new ones too, everyone was up dancing and singing along, I felt very pumped after their set, on such a high reliving the oldies again!!!!! Heart was not so exciting, very mellow, laid back everyone was sitting in their sets, the energy died, left the concert wanting more. My advise to who is ever in charge of placing the order of the acts you made a BIG mistake Joan Jett should have been the Headliner and they should have came on last so we ALL left upbeat and excited after concert instead of let DOWN!!! I hope you read this and see your Error and fix the order for the rest of the tour, as I am a big Fan and everyone I was with Agree the order was wrong!!!!!

    They still got it

    by VE4HAY on 2016-03-20MTS Centre - Winnipeg

Ann certainly has not lost anything after all these years. her voice is still incredible. Nancy still hold the group together with her great guitar skill. A little disappointed however as she only did one high kick all night ling. But then again she could have been nursing a hangover as her birthday was a day before.
