Kevin too funny, Jason funny as ...you know...

by avatarius on 2017-05-20Stampede Corral - Calgary

Such a freaking treat to listen 2 old men banter back and forth about their lives in the entertainment industry. Due to it's extreme vulgarity and mature content, I will not repeat what was said throughout the show. Lets just say the movies they did doesn't compare to the live podcast they were doing that night. If you want to listen to over the top antics between two men and their careers as they grow old, then look for them whenever you can. I think Jay and not so Silent Bob probably dropped more F-Bombs than Leo Dicaprio in the movie Wolf on Wallstreet. Definitely a must see event if they come to your city.

Good show 1st row seat so tiny packed as sardines!

Show was a lot better than I expected - crude humour but very entertaining - I try to go to the main comic expo show each year and this one pleasantly surprised me - also got a free signed photo of the two with the seats but the person I went with didn't?

    not what i expected.

by aabb on 2011-12-22Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

was so excited to see these guys and left not feeling satisfied what so ever. the whole show was just like the audience was just listening in on a personal conversation between the two. They did no skits from any of the movies they have been in, and just sat and talked the whole time except for the last 30-40 mins they played a improve game which finally got the audience going. but a little too late i think. they were also 40 mins late to start. it would be like seeing cheech and chong, and having those two do NONE of the jokes or characters they are so known for. i think jay and silent bob could have done a lot better to make it a five star rate for me.

Bob and Jay are old for sure. But in a good way.

I wasn't sure what to expect, as I've never attended a show where the main structure is just celebrities talking. First, they started 45 minutes late. Not impressed. Who do they think they are? Sure you guys are pretty famous, but your not that hot. Just as my boyfriend and I were going to leave, they finally showed up. They did butter up the audience really well though, talking about the Winnipeg Jets and how the city lost them, then won a team back. Talk about sucking up, but it worked. They then proceeded to tell many stories about their sexual "old" lives, Jay's visit to Winnipeg for the show Todd and the Book of Pure Evil, and other long winded anecdotes. The main highlight was when Kevin Smith surprised Jason Mewes with his Gemini Award which had finally arrived. It seemed appropriate as Mewes won the award for a role in a TV show he had shot here in Winnipeg. All in all, I enjoyed the few nerd-tastic moments of the show, but it just carried on too long and became boring. I had to work the next day. So my boyfriend and I left during the tail end of the first game they played with audience. How it ended? ask some one else. True--I would recommend the event, because the seats aren't too expensive. But you gotta be a big fan to really enjoy this show. Otherwise, it's not that great. Funny, but not great.
