I fell in love with you when I was 10 and I love you more now. you connected with us and I could feel your emotion. you shared pieces of your life which was awesome! your music is unique just like you.
Dreadful venue, even worse concert. No interaction with the audience, he could have been a puppet and been more animated.
Monitors obstructed viewing lines Little or no audience interaction by the performaer His drawl, made understanding the lyrics almost impossible When the lead singer sang his solos the sound was fine
I have been a fan of Leon since I was 16 years old. He started playing and never stopped once. Amazing the amount of energy he has on stage.
Leon Russell is still an amazing performer..his voice..his piano playing and his music remain iconic....Do not miss him !
I discovered Leon Russell on a date to see the movie Mad Dogs and Englishmen in the 70s. I was mesmerized. I didn't pay much attention to Joe Cocker at the time, instead, racing off to the record store right after the movie to find Leon Russell albums. I have been a devoted listener every since. The set list and able young players that backed him up, set the stage for a tasteful, fun, and raunchy time at the casino. In his characteristically non-verbal way, Leon rolled out hit after hit with class, vigor and grace. When I read of his surgery in January 2010, I wondered how he could keep up with the busy tour schedule. I was completely amazed by his energy and generosity of heart, giving us a two hour performance without a break. I have no criticism. Leon Russell offers a brave heart with a sense of fun and sensuality. And, I am always ready for Leon's old hits or a new tune. Come back soon Leon. Winnipeg loves you! p.s. Love that Oklahoma accent of yours, so maybe just a few more words to us next time?
Leon Russell played all his classics and he sounds the same as if he was recording the songs in studio.
Great music, excellent arrangements. well played by fine musicians.
Leon gave a stunning performance. it was wonderful to see this man in person.
