Murray McLauchlan - a Canadian Treasure
by Sparkster2 on 2018-10-23Burton Cummings Theatre - WinnipegMurray McLauchlan gave an outstanding concert. His stories, his voice, his musical talent, and his descriptive lyrics are rare. You are transported to a different place when he sings: To the house of the young man's parents when he leaves home in Child's Song; to the bar in Down by the Henry Moore; to the circus in Sweeping the Spotlight Away. McLauchlan's voice is as rich and mellow as when I attended the first of many of his concerts years ago. His stories that inspired his songs are entertaining and told with ease and a sense of humour. Anyone who enjoys McLauchlan's music and did not attend the concert missed out. It was a wonderful evening.
