About

The Black Keys are a garage rock duo from Akron, Ohio made up of lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney. Upon dropping out of college, the duo began making a number of self-produced albums together, including The Big Come Up (2002), Thickfreakness (2003), Rubber Factory (2004) and Magic Potion (2006). The band’s fifth studio set, Attack and Release (2008), marked a turning point — not only was it their first project to be recorded in a professional studio, but they also found a producer in Danger Mouse, who would go on to become a frequent collaborator. The Black Keys’ commercial breakthrough occurred with the 2010 release of Brothers and its 2011 follow-up El Camino. Both landed in the Top 3 of the Billboard 200 and the former earned the band their first Grammy win for Best Alternative Music Album. Their 2014 LP Turn Blue became their first No. 1 album on the all-genre chart, with later studio sets including Let’s Rock (2019), Delta Kream (2021) and Dropout Boogie (2022). The band’s twelfth studio album, 2024’s Ohio Players, will be supported by their 2024 International Players Tour.

    Keys to my Heart

Loved the venue, loved the atmosphere, loved the swag, loved the day, and most importantly, loved, loved, loved the Black Keys!

    Great performance

by fish on 2022-09-09Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Put on a great show. Band of Horses had a great opening set and The Black Keys were awesome. The setlist was fantastic and the musicianship was great! Enjoyed this show much more than their 2019 show at Scotiabank Arena.

    Awesome

by NSfan on 2022-09-09Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Travelled all the way to TO with my family to see the Black Keys because they unfortunately had to cancel their 2020 trip to Halifax NS due to COVID. They did not disappoint! Fantastic! I do hope they make their way to our neck of the woods some day so we can catch them again. My family loved the concert, was an awesome night full of memories. Only complaint was of the Budweiser Stage venue itself. Our seats were directly behind wooden boxed seating. The individuals seated, and the waitresses there to serve them, were up and down all night blocking our view, and became more and more obnoxious. I have to mention/warn that the elevation of the box itself it was higher than our seats behind. Not ideal. Security staff were great, they were willing to help find us alternative seating but the concert was sold out…no other seating available. All in all, the music was awesome, fantastic band to see live.

    A Mighty Concert!!

by Moose Mike on 2022-09-09Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Second time seeing these guys! Long Live Rock!! The Black Keys did just that on Tuesday night! A very lively show. From the Hits to the Blues, they rocked me all night! Thanks Black Keys!! The opening band was not the right choice. I suggest a Canadian band next time. Cheers1!

    Awesome show

by Bruno on 2022-09-09Budweiser Stage - Toronto

The show started with the song I got mine followed by Howling for you. It got everyone at the Budweiser stage on their feet and it lasted for the whole concert. Will go back to see them again for sure

    So Good!

by Scojo on 2022-09-09Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Fantastic show! The setlist included all their big recent hits but sprinkled in some classics from the back catalogue. It was virtually non-stop with the boys hardly taking a break to catch their breath between songs. The spotlight on the Delta Kream tracks mid-set was an unexpected treat and particular highlight. The show sounded and looked great and was so much fun!

    Baby, I’m howlin’ for you...

by FRLee on 2022-09-09Budweiser Stage - Toronto

What a great show!! Black Keys never disappoint. Dan’s blues-rock guitar prowess, and Patrick’s pounding drums along with legendary blues guest musicians was all performance enhanced by a spectacular stage/side-screen multimedia show. Budweiser is a challenging venue to see/hear any band but promoters did offer upgraded seats to a heavily oversold general access on-the-green.

    Terrible sound

by Nic on 2022-09-09Budweiser Stage - Toronto

That was my 20th concert at bud stage this summer and the first one that had bad sound. The lawn speakers were reverbing during band of horses, completely ruining half the set. Then they seemed to be turned off for the rest of the show, leaving a dead sound and no atmosphere. Will always come back to the best venue in toronto, but very disappointed!

    Amazing!

by A Kirby on 2022-09-09Budweiser Stage - Toronto

My favourite band, so how could I not love it! We went for the VIP front row and it was a lot of fun, making it a full day thing. It would just have been amazing to meet Dan and Patrick face to face included in the VIP offering for the price, and for how intimate the sound check package was. Nevertheless, incredible experience!

    Disappointing

by Eclectic Taste on 2019-12-06Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Maybe expectations were too high but this show was truly disappointing. Performers and audience energy was low possibly due to the long pauses between songs, uneven sound, and that only a few “hits” were played. Ended up leaving after the first hour. Truly disappointing.

    I lost my socks!

by Amanda on 2019-12-05Rogers Arena - Vancouver

This concert rocked my socks off! It was amazing! I had yet to see The Black Keys live and they did not disappoint! The music was clear and oh-so-good. The visuals were stunning. There was a different backdrop for each song. With vivid videos and bright, colourful lighting, the concert had everything!

    Poor Sound

by TVH on 2019-11-29Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Modest Mouse and the pre-opener to the opener had good sound. When the Black Keys came on, the volume was low and guitar solos completely unerwhelming since we couldn't hear anything. So disappointed and we'll likely never watch The Black Keys live again.

Blinded by the light (in the best way)

    by M. S. on 2019-11-28Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Everything was amazing! Not only did they they sound great and have A great setlist (with a good mix of older stuff) but the lighting was the icing on the cake! It really tord the show together and added that extra kick and emotion to each song. It was truely a part of the experience

    Living in a square foot

    by J. R. on 2019-11-27Rogers Arena - Vancouver

The bands were amazing: great sound, awesome visuals and amazing playlist. Sure would have been nice to dance to them, the floor Seating was linked metal chair seating that was less comfortable and less personal space than stand seating. Rogers arena in this aspect epically failed, not to mention security getting on your case if you were taking too long to get to your seat. Only way to see the band or stage if you were under 6’ tall was to stand on your chair, but wait security was there for that too. I would never buy floor tickets again at rogers arena unless they were either 1st row or the seating removed. People buy floor tickets to stand and dance not be crammed together like cattle.

    Black Keys Event

    by j. w. on 2019-11-27Rogers Arena - Vancouver

My 5 start rating is the for the Black Keys only. One too many opening acts - Shannon and the Clams were pretty decent, but Modest Mouse really did not seem to want to be there at all, yet they took their time getting on and off the stage - I can't speak for the band itself, but the lead singer made no effort at all to relate to his audience or even introduce his musicians. Would not pay to see them again - however, the Black Keys made up for it!

    Black Keys Vancouver

by abcdef on 2019-11-27Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Okay show. Sound engineering was quite poor (music too loud) for Modest Mouse, one of the openers.

    No more lulls

by Chrissy on 2019-11-27Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Between too many songs there were awkward silences so at that point the audience would clap AGAIN and then they would play their music never have I heard this in any concert. I did not like this. Want. Pat on the back for playing your music well you can get that without asking. 👎🏼🤪

Black Keys were brilliant. Rogers Arena BORING venue!

by BC on 2019-11-27Rogers Arena - Vancouver

The Black Keys were brilliant, as expected. Although, it’s always frustrating when a great artist is going to play at Rogers Arena. It’s the most boring experience ever. The floor is filled with seats, people can’t stand and move and enjoy the concert, they are separated by chairs which makes the experience so boring and mechanic. The music was electrifying but the experience could have been better if people were allowed to stand on the floor without the seats. The Black Keys are so energetic, too bad that the venue didn’t let the public enjoy it as much as they could.

    Amazing as always

by Nishyel on 2019-11-27Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Great to see Dan switch up guitars and use the Les Paul on more songs. Acoustics were incredible as always!
