This was a great concert, and the sound was excellent plus they are celebrating their 40th anniversary.
what a great show, while it was too bad the whole band is not still together, they had tremendous energy, great horns and looked like they were having a blast. Venue offered an intimate experience with the band, amazing sound.
They put on a fantastic show. You would never know that Ally Campbell wasn't with them!!! Duncan sounds amazing!! The bands' performance was outstanding. Great show, great sound, high energy! Wonderful, quaint, old venue. Not too big so that everyone was fairly close to the stage. Sitting room in the balcony, standing only downstairs, but lots of open space. A couple of bars right there within a few steps. Some steps there if you wish to sit down instead of standing. Would go back to this venue again for another show. Would definitely pay to see this group again. Well worth the money!!!
My father and I loved it it was our first time there and we had a blast, i will definitely be going back for another show
Great to see amazing legends wonderful show enjoyed the great energy
Happy 40th Anniversary UB40 The opening performance needs more. Although the audience interaction was a small perk in the opening performance, it was lacking. It should be an amazing introduction to your Anniversary Performance. A solo artist playing tunes and dancing the same moves for 40 minutes isn’t what the audience expected. The main performance was a wonderful experience of old and new music.
Great time! Band was excellent, special guests did their thing and the DJ (Gold Dubs) was pretty amazing. DJ set the stage for a great show!
Nice evening with very good music in an authentic theatre
Come and dance the night away. Listen to old favourites and new hits. This was the perfect venue for this band. Intimate and interactive. These guys sound absolutely amazing. We had a wonderful night.
What makes or breaks a show with a band that is 40 years old is whether or not they are still having fun. Many older band just seam to be going through the motions. Hell some new bands do the same. UB40 are having as much fun today as I suspect they did back in the day. Will buy tickets again the next time they pass through Calgary.
UB40 has been a great Band ever since I was a young adult. I’m 51 and I always wanted to see them live. It was so worth it. Like I said I never stopped dancing lol. Thanks for a great show.
Overall concert was amazing. Their new stuff is ok but probably like most people I came for the old stuff which was amazing
Great night to take in the sounds of summer with UB40 and Steel Pulse
Absolutely loved the UB40 concert at Danforth Music Hall. I have seen UB40 live before, a couple of times, in the 80s and they were as good now as they were back then. It was great to see Ali Campbell, his voice still sounds so dreamy. I love seeing UB40 live because they have such a positive vibe. Can't wait to see them again!!!
For me, UB40 brings back great memories of the 80's They have been one of my favourite bands of all time. Terrific performers and a fun atmosphere. When I saw them the whole crowd was into it. Would see them again. Only wish they played a few more of my favourites.
From the DJ playing reggae until the last note,UB40 had the crowd bouncing and dancing all night.A very enjoyable set capped off with Red Red Wine!Toronto did itself proud and I am sure the band noticed. We would see them again in a heart beat.Great Show!
Had a terrific night. The venue was perfect you could dance all night, and we did. Ali Campbell sounds as good as he did 20 years ago. This is my 3rd time seeing them and I will definitely see them if they are back in Toronto.
Although, Ali, Astro & Mickey are no longer as fresh faced as they used to be, they know how to entertain. Old Skool Reggae at its Best. Hope to see them back in Toronto soon.
The sound, the venue, the energy. Oh my God what a show......to bad they are gone back home I would se them again.
Having been a fan of the band for years, I jumped at the chance to go and see them. They put on a really good show. They played a lot of the old classics, which got the crowd on their feet dancing. Faster songs were alternated with slower one's well, which kept the show flowing. The backing band for the trio fitted in really well and showcased some excellent sax and drum playing. Time went so fast and next thing, it was the encore - final song: red red wine for a strong finish!. If you get the chance to see them live - go go go!8
