    Tommy Shaw got Cute!

by SGirl10andMikey5Ms on 2011-08-31Chateau Ste Michelle Winery - Woodinville

Styx was amazing! Yes was as wonderful as always! Tommy Shaw's voice was excellent. He is looking good these days! Their interaction with the crowd was lots of fun to watch. They performed all of their hits (gratefully, no Mr. Roboto). Shaw's Crystal Ball was a highlite. Yes also Performed for 90 minutes with the new single Fly From Here sounding great! We got to meet the members of Yes following the show. They were kind enough to sign all of our cd's and lp's. What a privilege!

Yes is an Affirmative! Styx was Stellar!

by SGirl10andMikey5Ms on 2011-08-03Chateau Ste Michelle Winery - Woodinville

Styx and Yes were wonderful. The venue was beautiful. Tommie Shaw's voice was incredible! Steve Howe, Chris Squire, Alan White, Benoit David and Geofff Downes are as awesome as ever. Yes played a new song off of their new CD and it sounded amazing.

Yes and Styx -what a show

by BLUESUE393 on 2011-07-11The MGM Grand at Foxwoods - Mashantucket

What can I say, this concert was awesome.....loved every minute of it....only problem....I could have stayed all night and they only played one and half hours each......hahaha. Not nearly long enough but hey long enough concert standards. The venue was great and we loved it. We drove 10 hours to see this concert and would do it again if circumstances provided. This is the second time seeing Styx and I fell in love all over again.

    Yes and Styx in Connecticut

by Bucky007 on 2011-07-10The MGM Grand at Foxwoods - Mashantucket

We flew to Connecticut from Toronto to see the July 8 YES/Styx show at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods. This was to be my 47th YES show and my second Styx. The venue was terrific - nice hotel, great sound in the Theatre, spacious, comfortable seats. I purchased the Meet and Greet tickets for YES and was extremely disappointed that they chose to do their meet and greet DURING Styx's set. This was rude not only to the fans but to their colleagues in Styx. As a result, I never did get to meet YES. I bailed on the long wait and took my seat to listen to Styx. As for the music ... YES played well - particularly Howe, Squire, White. Downes appears to be still learning much of the music and David - well, he's just a terrible singer. Still, I enjoyed the virtuosity of Howe on songs like Yours Is No Disgrace and Starship Trooper. As for Styx, I was SO impressed with how hard they worked. While YES displays a fair degree of arrogance, Styx treated this audience with great respect and gave them a hell of a show - recognizing that the tickets don't come cheap and we, the audience, have high expectations. At the end of the day I was happier with Styx's performance overall and thank them for giving it their all.
