    Disappointing ABBA

by Anonymous on 2013-11-06Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

The group may have been OK the sound was so loud that it was difficult to hear the singers. Far too much audience participation - I came to hear them not the audience and the phony Sewdish accents didn't add much. No where near as good as the last ABBA concert I attended a few years ago.

    ABBA Concert

by pleasereturn on 2013-11-06Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

The ABBA concert was very enjoyable, with lots of audience participation. A wonderful flashback to this group's music and showmanship. The only negative aspect to this evening's entertainment was the sound system. The volume was excessively loud and on occasion distorted the music. This unfortunately negatively impacted on the overall concert

    Abba

by Ventner1 on 2013-11-06Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Started 20 minutes late waiting for late comers. If 2000 can be on time no excuse for the others. We were 15 minutes early traveling from the north. People should learn to judge time better. As a military general once said you should not punish those who are on time for those who are not. We left after the first act as we found the music especially the Bass very very loud. I guess our age is showing.

    ABBA

ABBALICIOUS brought back many memories. The nasty weather left many empty seats so that was to bad.

One of the worst shows I have been to

by Catie on 2013-11-06Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

We had excellent sets, Row B LC, but the sound was terrible. We have attended many concerts at the Jubilee Auditorium so I don't think the problem was with the host equipment, but with the level of volume being pushed through the system. We could hardly hear the singer on the far side of the stage - I guess the sound wasn't being pumped through both sides. The band and singers were good, they harmonized well and, from what I remember of ABBA, they did a good job of re-enacting their stage presence. When they talked, their accents seemed forced, sometimes sounding British or Australian rather than Swedish. We kept looking at our watches and left before the finale - we'd had enough of the sit down, stand up, sit down, stand up routine.

    ABBA was a blast!

by Airguy on 2013-11-06Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Great band. Played all the #1s and lots of interaction with the audience. Took me back in time to the original band. I give the show 2 thumbs up.

    ABBA

by AndrewSEE on 2013-11-06Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Fun. Greatly enjoyed it. Possible to bring more groups that have songs in the 80s?

    Fun, but....

by jimfan on 2013-11-06Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Firstly, I had a great time at this event! They played (almost) all of my favorites... One of the songs they should have played only came at the end and was just a teaser... I won't ruin it for those who haven't seen the show.. It sounded horrible though... I can only describe the sound as "muddy". The music overwhelmed the singing and if you didn't know the lyrics, it would be hard to tell what they were singing. They had the crowd get up a few times out of their seats... I wish they would have done this when they sang Waterloo... It was a little anticlimatic... I think that the price they charged ($44 including taxes) was way overpriced for the quality of the show...

This was a fun, interactive concert and it also brought back a lot of memories. The singers did a fabulous job of sounding and acting like the original group. Thanks.

My 9 year old loved it and so did I!

by Slebels on 2013-10-29Burton Cumming theater - Winnipeg

Saw this at Burton Cumming theater. never been there, so that was an experience in itself! Nice bonding experience with my daughter. They sounded exactly like ABBA. Glad they got us to stand now and then to dance!

    The ABBA show

by Teletubby on 2013-10-26Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

The Abba Show that I attended roughly 2 yrs. ago at The McPhillips Street Casino was better. Better atmosphere. These guys were ok. Covered many songs.

    ABBAsolutely fABBAulous ... Well done

by RiverCityBassman on 2013-10-26Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Excellent show. The presentation and musicianship were unreal. All the old Abba hits were covered in the 2:20 show. They got the crowd involved as part of the show. Of particular note, ABBAsolutely fABBAulous' Syhth/Keyboard player also played the sax and a flute all very well. She sang as well and didn't seem much older than 20.

    ABBAsolutely was awesome!!!!

by Boop on 2009-07-29Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

I would definitely recommend this show to others. It was just fantastic. You couldn't tell by their voices that they were not the real ABBA. I would go see them again and again. Just an awesome show. It was great that they involved the crowd, just made it that more fun.
