  • Adam never puts on a bad show

by Jurnee on 2010-04-12Red Robinson Show Theatre - CoquitlamRating: 5 out of 5

Adam always sings his heart out and simply cannot put on a bad performance. The problems with this show were primarily technical as the sound was not good and the band feeds were too loud and muddy. Adam was somewhat distracted as he kept gesturing to the sound guys to adjust things. Unlike the River Rock show the following night, there was very little talking to the audience, no interactions with Tommy, Camilla was hidden int he shadows all night, and there was no riffing on songs - which Adam is SO good at. This felt a little like a rehearsal compared to the mind blowing show at the River Rock.

Fantastic - come back soon and often, Adam ;-) I've already started saving for next time. The venue seating allowed excellent views of the stage from everywhere.

  • Adam Lambert is a must see

oh what to say.. phenomenal show. Adam has true talent and rocked us out at the River Rock Casino. From his unforgettable voice to his dancing he made this night a night to remember.

  • Adam Lambert - vocals were excel. - play list wsnt

by redkirk on 2010-04-11River Rock Show Theatre - RichmondRating: 3 out of 5

His vocals were perfect but his play list was boring. I really wish he'd done Whole Lotta Love and more rock but that was not to be. I felt like there was this wall of sound and I didn't like it. I think he's good enough without all of the over the top production and synthesizer etc.

  • Just incredible

This was the Adam and his bands 2nd concert in Vancouver and their 3rd full length concert ever. I've seen all 3 full length shows and I've never seen an artist who can change up a show, with essentially the same tunes, the way Adam Lambert can. Whereas his Fantasy Springs debut had a laid-back, hippy vibe, and the Red Robinson show had a "dress rehearsal" feel (including sound balance problems), the River Rock show let everyone know, that we were seeing something extraordinary. This was Adam at his best. We got his stellar vocals (including some gorgeous riffing in Mad World), his sexually charged provocative moves, adorable between-song patter, Adommy action and fierce guitar shredding by the super talented Monte Pittman. Adam had the audience in the palm of his gloved hand, from the second the show started and he took us to a place I have seldom experienced in a lifetime of concert going. The phrase "ridden hard and put up wet" pretty well summed up the collective feeling after the much too short set. The best part is that Adam isn't all serious about what he does. It's all tongue-in-cheek and because he's having so much fun, the audience does too. This act is only going to get better and if you get any chance to see Adam live, RUN, don't walk to get a ticket because he is better than Lady Gaga, Muse, and the late Jim Morrison all rolled into one.

Adam Lambert is an amazing singer and performer, and the River Rock casino was the best venue to watch him in!!!

  • I'm in love with Glambert!

Fantastic evening! Wonderful venue - very cozy! Adam is a great performer, loved that he interacted with the audience with his down-to-earth personality. Amazing smile. Great set. Bought tickets for mom as she LOVES Adam (she was going to see "my Adam"). We both just loved it! Loved it! Loved it!

I loved it! It took him a long time to come to the stage, but once he did it was amazing!

  • Adam Lambert does not disappoint!

by MUSICAGAIN on 2010-04-10Red Robinson Show Theatre - CoquitlamRating: 4 out of 5

I have no complaints about Adam's performance. He was amazing. He is truly a wonderful performer. I was lucky enough to also see him on the American Idol tour, and his voice blew me away then. Just an outstanding singer. You can tell he enjoys the crowd - No matter how old or young they are. I was fairly surprised at the audience that showed up. It seemed to be mostly middle aged women, probably American Idol viewers. It just seemed shocking because of the type of music he sings! I'm 21 and I felt very young being there, haha. Either way, the women enjoyed it, and the men who glammed themselves up made him proud (so he says on his twitter!) However, I do have a few complaints/suggestions: -His show should have been longer. At one hundred bucks a ticket, I didn't feel like I got my money's worth. Sure, of course I would willingly pay that AGAIN to see him for that amount of time, but it just felt like it should have been a little bit longer. -I know the people in the first few rows were very unhappy. Some of those people paid a lot of money for those tickets, or won them through contests, and then show up and find out that tons of people were allowed to stand in front of them. They are row ONE for a reason. ONE being the first ONE to the stage. I witnessed a few row one ticket holders moving back into empty seats so they could actually see. -Right on the ticket it stated "no cameras." There were 4 or 5 signs walking into the theater that said "no cameras." So, I assumed, no cameras!! But of course, they don't even check your bag, and people end up bringing their big SLR cameras and get amazing photos. Those rules just need to be enforced, or stated, more clearly. All in all, I would pay the same amount to see him again. But that's me, a die-hard fan. He seems like such a humble and sweet person, I wish e would've done an autograph signing for the fans who showed up as well! After the show, there was about 30 of us waiting outside by his van for him. However, he came out and simply went straight into the van. Little disappointed, but it's not a big deal. He's a busy guy! Great to see him. Can't wait until he comes back!!

  • Adam was average

For the talent that Adam Lambert is, I felt as though he could have put on a better performance. I felt his song mix was awkward and he should have saved his best for last. I would have liked to have seen a bit more interaction with the crowd as well. I am confident that his next visit to Vancouver will be a better show and I look forward to watching his career blossom. What an amazing voice!

  • On the edge of our seats!

by Christine123 on 2010-04-09Red Robinson Show Theatre - CoquitlamRating: 5 out of 5

From the first number to the last, Adam had us spellbound and in the grip of his leathered hands w painted nails! What a show! In fact, we were so close to the edge of our seats, we just had to stand up! His voice, changes-in-voice, stage presence, body language and sleek look ...we could have listened and watched him all night! He put on a spectacular show, no wasted spaces, just Adam and his band and that is exactly what we came for...and he did not disappoint! He is one slick fella!!!!! We only wish we had tix for both nights....some ladies from USA did exactly that and we were envious. What an artist! We were thrilled with every second of the show. ...wish it was longer, but he gave us what we came for!! Thrills!

  • Adam Lambert

After the first band played to much down time before Adam came to the stage and way to short played for 5o minutes/came back for a one song encore Also in between songs there was alot of down time during the performance Can't complain about Adam's singing that was awesome However for what we paid per ticket It wasn't what I expected Adam had the capabilaty to leave his audencie exiting the theater buzzing and that was not the case. Instead people were talking about how short the performance was His band members need to step it up as well they just stood there all night with no emotion. And I'm a great fan of Adam Lambert so hope he improves the performance

He was great ! I will see him again. My only issue was with his band , They kept trying to over power Adam. We all came to hear Adam sing ( and boy can he sing!!! ) but the base guitar and whoever else he had was too loud. It is All Adam and his voice and dancing that made the show fun. Next time I hope his band follows the real star- and not try to drown him out ! I Loved it - lots of fun CHeers

I had tickets within 3mins of them going one sale, you can say I was one of the lucky ones because it sold out in 10mins. It was really great to have the show out at the red Robinson theater, as it was a more intimate and personal show. I felt he put on an amazing show, for his first time in Vancouver and the crowed responded well. From the minute he came out on stage to the minute he finished, the crowd was up on there feet screaming, singing and dancing. I think the best part for me was the fact that the show was 19+ because you didn't get all the teens going crazy and being stupid. I do hope that if he plays again in Vancouver he puts on another 19+ show maybe along with something all ages. Well over all I would say from my point of view the show was better then words can describe and he knows how to entertain a crowd. For me he’s one of those performers that has the stage presence, powerful voice and confidence to be up on that stage. In a final note the show was amazing, he preformed exceptionally well and the $100 tickets were worth every penny. I was an Adam Lambert fan from the beginning and after that show I will always be a fan.
