The only complaint I have is how much they wanted for all the swag. 15 bucks for a bag of cotton candy.

  • Thought it would have more show!!

by nickbottom on 2012-02-06BC Place - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

Just didn't think it had show quialty to make a WOW factor. Some of the products such as snow cone with cup was way to expensive $15 should have been $8.00

  • Great fun for young and old.

3 yr old son and Dad went to the Monster Jam Maple Leaf Tour and had a blast. Pit party was really good and worth the extra $. Prepare yourself with earplugs and have a great time next time it visits your town.

  • Where were the "big" guys

    by Sunflower37 on 2012-02-06BC Place - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

The show was OK, not very many big names were there, I expected a lot more. When you watch monster jam on TV, all the big names are there, that is who we pay to see and why we want to go. I also found watching it on TV vs. the live show in Vancouver, in the freestyle there is much more action, jumping, smashing up of trucks from wild moves, etc. This show seemed to be rather tame, yes Grave Digger did topple over twice, but it wasn't the "hoorah" i was expecting it to be....just saying.....

its was good, kids liked it. bring earplugs. only thing would be better if it started at 6pm instead of 7pm. not home until 10:30, makes it a long day for kids

  • Monsterjam - loud and awesome!

by mcstir on 2012-02-06BC Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

We purchased tickets for the Monster Jam Maple Leaf Tour for my son's 7th birthday. He was so excited, and the show did not fail to disappoint. It was really cool to see Northern Nightmare, a driver from CANADA too. We purchased pit passes, and I was under the impression that this was for after the performance, but apparently it happens before, so I messed up there. Anyway, we made up for it to my son when he got to meet some of the drivers after the show during an autograph session. It's nice to see the drivers give back to their fans, this made a memory my 7 year old son will never forget!

  • Always a great show

    by ben07 on 2012-02-06BC Place Stadium - Canada - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

I've waited for this show's return to Vancouver since 2009 and this one was worth it. The track (dirt) is better than a hard course. Plenty of additional sideshows such as midget racing, ATV race (US vs Canada) and the demolition derby style event. It was great fun and nice to see a lot of kids and their families in attendance. Kudos to BC Place for HVAC facilities - the venue was literally smoke, fume and odor free ! If I remember it correctly, the pit party in previous years (possibly at other venues) was a free event. This year you had to pay for it. The event was originally labelled as Advanced Autoparts Monster Jam but was later changed to Maple Leaf Monster Jam - funding perhaps? Glad to see some Canadian monster truckers as well !! The normally exciting truck freestyle event was a slight disappointment (at least for myself). The drivers seemed to be holding back on the jumps. Sure there were still plenty of spills, crashes and tumbles (Digger went down twice! ) but you could notice that some of the drivers were literally very light on the throttle and at times just blipping the gas pedal (with the exception of Son uva digger and Candice in monster mutt dalmatian ! Overall, still a great show though !!

  • Monster Jam was Amazing!!!

by AlmasGroup on 2012-02-06BC Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Our group of 6 went and was blown away at how awsome it was!! It was our very 1st time watching it in person! We watch it on TV all the time but now we can't wait to go to another live Monster Jam!! I do have to say everyone needs to wear ear plugs or something to protect your ears bcuz the noise of the trucks is every load but soo awsome at the same time too!

  • Monster trucks was lame!

by Sindee on 2012-02-06BC Place - VancouverRating: 1 out of 5

My first monster truck experience and the last. I didn't realize it was geared mostly towards kids. Reminded me of a really bad WWF show without the fake fighting. Every completion was staged and over dramatized. The trucks were slow, and didn't really do much. The highlight was the snowmobile freestyle. At least they actually did tricks. Everything else was cheesy and way to focused on trying to shove expensive cheesy merchandise down your throat. They really plugged their merch a lot during the whole evening and they played way too many commercials on the jumbo tron. It was like watching bad trash tv but live. I was quite disappointed. My friend said it was the worst monster truck he's ever been too and he apologized for wasting my time and taking me.
