It was my first time attending an event of this kind, it was an amazing sight, I got a lot of positive emotions.
I took my 2-year-old son to watch Motorsports Spectacular at the Edmonton Expo Centre. I’ve been to this venue many times and think it’s great, and I’d never seen Motorsports Spectacular before, but they put on a solid show. However, I don’t think the two are a good match. The venue feels too small for this type of event—between the noise level and the lack of ventilation, it was overwhelming, even for someone familiar with monster truck shows. It’s too loud, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but in a smaller space, it can be a lot. My son wanted to leave within five minutes, and I can understand why. Both the venue and the event are great on their own, but together, it might not be the best experience, at least for young kids.
Took my 5 and 7 year olds to see the Motorsports spectacular and they loved the show. Maybe some improvement could be made where some more light effects is added to the show but other than that was a great time with the kids.
It was an awesome show. It’s amazing how they can get those trucks to walk on front or back tires and the tricks those guys did on the motorbikes. Unbelievable. Like I said. AWESOME show. Hope to go to it next year.
They changed the monster truck racing to a oval style race which makes it more of a race than the drag race with no room inside arena. No boring filler events. Tough Trucks were great, local "crazy"Murray put his truck on its roof. I still miss the demo at the end of the show. (It was the event I participated in) All in all a great show.
Man, I was pumped to bring our kids for their first monster truck show. We even went Friday and Saturday. Gotta say I was bummed with this years show. There really wasn’t a lot of things going on. Monster truck races, freestyle, tuff trucks, motocross freestyle. What happened to the rest of it? P.s. bring back the fire breathing dinosaur that chomps cars in half.
About as good as show as one could hope for given the size of the venue. I think the ticket costs are a good deal for what you get. The line up for merch and ear muffs has been long and slow over the years, would like to see either a second booth or more cashiers at current one. Good use of space but would like to see a different track set up as it’s the same every year. My 6 year old was the first to mention it was a bit boring as it was the same as last time, nonetheless she still loved it. The show moves on quickly and good entertainment. The pit area before the show is also awesome, kids and myself enjoy going down and meeting the drivers and they are awesome at entertaining the kids and answering questions about the trucks. Overall would recommend going especially for a first timer. I find it a bit repetitive but could be fixed easily with a different set up year to year.
It's the same thing every year, it's more for the kids. While it's neat to see the trucks etc, the time in between the action (which was often) and all the talking was quite boring. It didn't hold my child's attention and we ended up leaving before intermission.
It was a very good show, it was very interesting to go on the first day of opening. It was very loud, give more information in advance about the noise. Add more ventilation. I really liked the show. It was a little tiring for the child.
