After an eight-year absence, Alabama Shakes are poised to make their return announcing a 2025 Tour across the U.S. The Athens, AL-raised band, comprised of vocalist/guitarist Brittany Howard, guitarist Heath Fogg, and bassist Zac Cockrell exploded onto the scene in 2012 with their debut album Boys & Girls, (ATO Records), which entered Billboard's Independent Albums chart at No. 1. Boys & Girls earned the band multiple GRAMMY nominations and was hailed as one of the year's best albums by numerous publications, including Rolling Stone, which also named lead single "Hold On" the #1 Best Song of 2012. Soon after its release, the bandmates found themselves thrust into the global spotlight, achieving such milestones as performing at the White House and on "Saturday Night Live."
The band's legacy continued to grow with the groundbreaking Sound & Color (ATO Records). Released 10 years ago, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, won GRAMMY Awards for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. The first single, "Don't Wanna Fight," took honors in the Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song categories. Sound & Color marked a profound evolution from Alabama Shakes' debut album, as The New York Times Magazine observed, heralding the band's "soul-stirring, shape-shifting new sound." Both Sound & Color and Boys & Girls were certified Platinum by the RIAA.
The Shakes' Cockrell, Fogg, & Howard have also reunited in the studio promising new music to fans who have been eagerly awaiting their return.

Rain held off until the last 10 minutes. Alabama Shakes shook the audience and had everyone dancing. I was really happy that I didn't miss Kurt Vile, a band I was unfamiliar with but now own one cd because they were awesome.
Awesome band. They are all talented and pull off a good live performance. They seem to have many incredible influences... They played two new songs but did not say anything about them - one was incredible! Their favourite song on sound and colour is also one of mine and was played last... Just buy their albums and see them live next time round you will not be dissappointed!
This was my first time seeing Alabama Shakes in person, and they pulled an amazing show! I've watched a few of their live performances on youtube, but it's nothing compared to seeing them in person. They should come to Toronto more often!
This group sounds just as good Live as on albums. Passionate singing with a great crowd.
Alabama Shakes put on a fantastic show. The opening band July Talk were excellent
2ND time to see this incredible group. Brittany Howard is the new Aretha. Such vocal range and power -oh she plays guitar too!! A fantastic group to see live.
Amazing show. In fact 2 shows-July Talk opening was almost at the same level with Alabama Shakes. Btw Brittany rules. The best band and record of the year.
Compared to the CDs the sound was way below what I expected. Also had two idiots who decided to stand the entire concert in from of us despite having a great view while seating. Ushers did nothing despite several complaints. Several people left half way through as a result.
The Alabama Shakes put on a great show. Brittney has a strong voice & put on a great performance. Was a little disappointed they did not perform "Hold On".
Wasn't a fan of the opener, father john misty, but the alabama shakes more than made up for that. Can't wait to see them again september 22nd in lewiston,ny.
After hearing the first single "Hold On" when it first hit radio, I was intrigued by the fresh sound of the band. After watching their performance on Saturday Night Live I was sold. I mean to look at Brittany on stage you would never connect her to playing guitar and singing like she does. She is the anti-thesis of what a rock star is supposed to look like. But that is exactly what you get on-stage, one of the most honest straightforward, talented performances I have seen in my 35 years of concert going. The venue is first rate, sound was excellent. The only thing that bothered me was the idiots who were yapping all through some of the quieter songs, wrecking the intimacy that the band was portraying.
I go to at least 15 shows a year. The Alabama Shakes put on one of the best shows I have seen in years. Raw talent, full of soul and some real original rock n roll. Echo Beach was a perfect setting. The only thing that could have improved the night is a more diverse beer menu. I will not miss this band in the future. Awesome
The Alabama Shakes concert was amazing. I would definitely go to their next concert. Her rhythm is so unique and really is a fresh of breath air from main stream. This sista definitely got real soul.
Was excellent venue and the BAND was amazing.... :)
Amazing band. Live they were phenomenal! It seemed that every song was a hit, and her voice gave me goosebumps the whole performance. Echo beach is an excellent venue, can't wait to go back again this summer. Nice to have a beer sitting in the sand watching the openers.
Did not disappoint! Great energy and great show. Brittany Howard sounded amazing and didn't hold back. Would see them again and again.
I loved the venue the food trucks and the band!!!! Felt like I was at an outdoor festival
I definitely would love to see Alabama Shakes again. Brittany Howard's voice is so powerful and filled with soul. Their sound of gospel meets blues meets rock n roll had us on our feet the whole time. We didn't want the night to end but when it unfortunately did, we left feeling happy and fulfilled.
Great venue, and Alabama Shakes were amazing! She has an absolutely unbelieveable voice. Such amazing soul. Johnny Fritz were great too. So funny!!
