After an eight-year absence, Alabama Shakes are poised to make their return announcing a 2025 Tour across the U.S. The Athens, AL-raised band, comprised of vocalist/guitarist Brittany Howard, guitarist Heath Fogg, and bassist Zac Cockrell exploded onto the scene in 2012 with their debut album Boys & Girls, (ATO Records), which entered Billboard's Independent Albums chart at No. 1. Boys & Girls earned the band multiple GRAMMY nominations and was hailed as one of the year's best albums by numerous publications, including Rolling Stone, which also named lead single "Hold On" the #1 Best Song of 2012. Soon after its release, the bandmates found themselves thrust into the global spotlight, achieving such milestones as performing at the White House and on "Saturday Night Live."
The band's legacy continued to grow with the groundbreaking Sound & Color (ATO Records). Released 10 years ago, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, won GRAMMY Awards for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. The first single, "Don't Wanna Fight," took honors in the Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song categories. Sound & Color marked a profound evolution from Alabama Shakes' debut album, as The New York Times Magazine observed, heralding the band's "soul-stirring, shape-shifting new sound." Both Sound & Color and Boys & Girls were certified Platinum by the RIAA.
The Shakes' Cockrell, Fogg, & Howard have also reunited in the studio promising new music to fans who have been eagerly awaiting their return.

Alabama shakes rocked the night with soul, blues, and roll & roll all night. This was my first time at echo beach and was pleasantly surprised, will return to see both for sure. Opening bands were the best I've seen.
Without knowing much about the band, I was certainly convinced that, if they stick to what they do, and how they do it, Alabama Shakes, will secure a firm footing in a unique, little corner of our musical planet. For a young band, playing blues/rock/soul it is refreshing to see that they actually know when enough, is enough, thereby, leaving the crowd wanting more. Great job!
Legitimately one of the greatest live performances I have ever seen. The lead singer is easily in the top five singers in popular music right now. She a level and quality of soul that music hasn't seen for decades. Incredible.
Alabama Shakes put on a great live show, amazing energy and sweet tune. Great mix of sound and beat.
Brittany Howard has an amazing voice! It is impressive on the album but a thousand times better live. The band is really solid and their energy is very infectious.
Alabama Shakes exceeded all expectations I had - the energy was great, Brittany is an AMAZING vocalist, and I loved the sneak preview of the new album! Highly Recommended!
This band is absolutely incredible live...the passion, energy, and amazing fusion of rock/blue/soul made for an incredible evening. Shakes really go the crowed going.
It has been many years, maybe even a decade, since a new band has had this much SOUL. The packed house at Lee's Palace in Toronto was completely enamoured by Alabama Shakes and from the first song, the band had us in the palm of their hand, lived up to the hype and the crowd showed them the love. This is unusual in a city where audience members usually cross their arms in a prove it to me sorta too-cool-for-school stance. There was none of this on Tuesday night. Alabama Shakes will melt your heart. Great musicianship. PASSIONATE PERFORMANCE! Catch 'em if you can!
What an amazing night, experiencing Alabama Shakes in such a intimate venue! Britanny Howard's vocals and passion on stage was phenomenal to watch. I am glad I got the opportunity to see them live.
